To the dead-mother analogy, how could someone not remind themselves of it everyday, the loved ones we have lost? I always remind myself of people I knew now gone. The reason that we should occassionally show the video's is so that people remember what it was like to be attacked. Already B.O. has come out against keeping the terrorists in Cuba and is closing Gitmo. There have been several huge attacks foiled thanks to the war on terror, now that will be all gone. Maybe we should be reminded why it happened, not just that it happened. People generally don't fight altruistic wars against "freedom" or "terror". yes, reminding people of terrorism is not a terror attack - it's just like reminding people that rapists exist. it is a reality. if you were raped, would you want to have those IMAGES put in front of you, even 7 years after the fact? so displaying that 9/11video, when it is clearly a sensitive subject/visual for many, is atrocious. to be reminded is one thing, but to have those IMAGES (which is what KO was upset about) displayed and used as a fear tactic for political gain is dispicable

Who do you trust to continue to protect America? It is a cimple question and to ask that question, either by Republicans or Democrats is perfectly reasonable. I felt the same way when I saw this last night. I was stunned that the McCain campaign felt the need to use such graphic images from 9-11 to convey the point. I remember and honor the patriots that died that somber day in 2001 and I don't need visual exploitation to remind me.
Apparently some Republicans must have shorter memories.
