All I was saying is it's amazing that someone put this kind of child-parent conflict into a song so perfectly and how great it was that it appealed to so many people, despite being about a concise subject. I haven't experienced this situation with my parents, but I reckon the whole hypocritical streak kids feel is something almost everyone goes through. I wish I could write songs like this.

this song is quite ambiguous, if you think of it as in father's day its about him and his dad, but then you could think of it as frank making the same mistakes as his dad with his partner.
