  • does gordon play a lot in peoples back yards?

  • @meanghost18 Yes, provided they pay him :) Have a look at his website (3'ww's giltrap co uk with dots) and read the "GET UP CLOSE AND INTIMATE WITH GORDON" box

  • @Clivebarker88 You have a lot of wonderful catching up to do. Gordon's been in the business for over 40 years and has has created an incredible catalogue of great music in that time. Furthermore, he isn't finished yet :)

The performance in the videos was in the garden of a friend & colleague's neighbour. My friend is a great fan of Gordon & hired him to play a private concert. The neighbour's garden was a more suitable shape & size.

It was a truly great evening.

  • @Clivebarker88 It took me three reads of that comment to figure out you were talking about cigars and wine!

Glad you enjoyed the video :)

  • I just love stumbling across these small types of intimate performances by true virtuosos........next time you have him over can I come?

  • Loved his music since the days he used to do some Acoustic tutorials in the Total Guitar mags. He really should be more famous than he is now.

  • This man is 'brilliant' in the true sense. He is just outstanding. Saw him live only 2 days ago. It doesn't surprise me that he sent tab to the last person who commented as he is incredibly down to earth. He is about as 'un-starry' as you will find, which is a lovely & refreshing characteristic in this day & age. He has a wonderful sense of humour too. Really enjoyed seeing him live.

  • You, sir, are spot on. Gordon is all that you say he is and deserves to have a much higher public profile.

  • Hi Alan, glad you enjoyed the video. Aside from being virtuoso performer and composer, Gordon is a true gentleman & also a great conversationalist.

The venue wasn't quite a BBQ but it was a small gathering of a dozen or so people organized by a friend & colleague who is virtually a Giltrap groupie :) It was a great evening enjoyed by everyone there including Gordon & Hilary

    Thanks for commenting,

    Cheers, Steve
