Just for everyone who has been claiming that this dog is a samoyed mix or a poorly bred puppy mill dog.

Longer snouted Chow Chows are infact a representation of the true and original Chow Chow look. The more extreme pushed in face is a modern bred Chow Chow. Neither one is necesarilly better or poorly bred.

The dog looks more like a samoyed than it does a chow chow. It doesn't have the face of a chow chow at all. Are you sure it's not a samoyed or mixed with a samoyed?

i had to put my chow to sleep aug 7th, i had him for 13-14 years. he was really 15-16 years old, but he got tumors in his nose, eye, mouth, tail and his kidnys fail. im still really down even after a month, i cant get over it, it was like loosing a little brother. long story short, spend as much time as possible with your chow, ill never have another dog that unique, because i wont find one and its to painful at the end.

My friend found her drowning in a swimming pool as a puppy.  We always thought was a chow, but looks like she has some malamute. We really don't know anything accept that who would leave a pup to die.

I sent my mom your vids, because it was her dog really, but kinda ine too. I gave her a nick name and she would only listen to that nick name when I called her that. lol.

Her actual name was Shakira. She was named after the singer. Because before this dog, my mom had a black Chow, and Sharika was on the radio when Dotchie died.

I recognise this dog, it is a native domestic dog of china, a unregistered and different breed to chow, a lot slimmer, without the chubby face.

I prefer it to chow.

She is a Chow Chow. In their country Chows range from 40 cm to 60 cm height and weight proportionally. Extremely short muzzles, wrinkles and excessive weight will NEVER be found in nature but only at the breeders. Chow Chow is not an exception. Look at the pictures from late 1800 and understand what a Chow Chow is and not tell me WERE because in every litter only few specimen are hypertype and sadly are considered better.

Two points: 1) She is BEAUTIFUL, and 2) She certainly is a mix.

I have a retired Champion named Teresa (shortened). She too is beautiful, but in that characteristically primitive, wooly mastadon-like way. Regal...yes. Cute? Uh, sure... like a wooly mammoth.

We would like to find a stud for her. She is pure with no papers! My friend found her and her brother abandoned in a yard at about 5-weeks old. She was drowning in a swimming pool yelping and my friend jumped the fence and rescued the pups. I can't believe that people can be so cruel.

I bet she will be a great mom. My 4 boys are already neutered. I wanted to keep them puppies forever! That is so sad that someone would treat helpless little babies to terrible. You can tell she is a purebred...I love the cream chows.
