Like Soilwork? You need to check out a metal band from NY called Through the Flood. We’re a new band, but have been making some waves for sure. We just recorded with Nada Studios, the same studio that recorded Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, and metal bands like Shai Hulud. We have two brand new songs from our official E.P. up on our page along with some old demos. If you like the music please subscribe. Also be sure to add us on Facebook!!! Keep it metal!! \m/ \m/ -TTF
When the pair is out of time! I'll be there at the end of the line! (boom...... ting ting) SWEET DEMISE! Always out of time SWEET DEMISE! Through the threshold Fear denied Always out of time Sent to die Born to defy
where the hell can you watch all of this? Theres nothing that i've been able to find except for trailers. And I already bought the panic broadcast-the normal version, completely unaware that there was a cd pack with a bonus dvd or i would've bought it. im not buying another cd just for this bonus dvd. damn it.
Soilwork is the best! They always live up to the expectations and adapt to what's happening. Nah they don't, Soilwork SETS the trend :) They are the invigoration of metal, soilwork = modern metal. The rest follows!!!
Sounds really promising !! but I hope the "gay" choruses won't ruin everything...like on "Sworn to a Great Divide"...I miss the Predator's Portrait/NBC sound :)
@Guillaume212121 Sworn to a great divide was fuckin' awesome ! Also choruses ! music is something wide so you have to be receptive to new stuffs.. are you expecting soilwork to make all their albums sounding like the pradator's portrait ? it would be quit GAY !
@eurologic I iobviously know what I'm talking about mate...I'm a fan of Soilwork since "Steelbath Suicide" (you probably discovered them with "Stabbing the Drama" or even "Sworn to a Great Divide").As far as I'm concerned, their best albums are "A Predator's Portrait" and "NBC".But that's just my personal opinion after all...I'm still pretty impatient to hear this new record, because Peter's back on it !! his guitar solos always blew me away !!
@ydidntIthinkofthat Soilwork are far better than In Flames IMO. They have stronger melodies, better riffing, a better singer and just the best overall songs in the genre.
@EveningStar83 For me it's just more of a development. I started out way back in the days with In flames and stuff like that but over the years they've become so sissy and pop-like to me. Soilwork have also been leaning towards the more average public listeners but haven't changed as much as In flames have and they stay with their fans, which imo is great! Personally I have developed so much in the genre of metal over the years, going from Glam to the brutal Death Metal i'm listening to today.
@UnrealGeeMan Ok I can see to a point with ASOP but how with Come Clarity?... I mean its the heaviest album they have released since clayman (And fairly close to being tied with it in heaviness in my opinion) I mean CC was only one album away from ASOP which is thier latest release and CC is about as heavy as anything soilwork has done recently and definately heavier than Figure Number 5.
@Kagemitsu888 hm, Yeah I don't know how to describe this but the overall feeling of In flames is that they have outgrown themselves. Now when Jesper has left them too. In Flames have been to popular and seriously, for me, that aint metal. When a normal girl that usually listens to lady gaga thinks its okay, then it's not okay for me. I think that In Flames and Soilwork for that matter are too digital nowadays and I'll be over at MetalBlade and CenturyMedia if you need me. \m/
@UnrealGeeMan yea i c what u mean but also u gota consider sometimes that some people like that girl u mentioned just have wide taste, my gf literally likes everything besides country and a little rap. But she alsoloves lay gaga but then she could turn around and listen to something as brual as The Black Dahlia of Murder or even Cannibal Corpse. She even loves to wacth dethklok with me and enjoys the musical aspects
@hybridpsycho I actually enjoyed STAGD, it wasn't their strongest but nonetheless it had some impressive vocal work on it. Although the production was not that good.
@Kdrumsx No it doesn't :-O. It sounds nothing like In Flames anymore, it's more of an Melodic '' Modern '' Rock, I mean yeah I got the T-shirt but I didn't know In Flames back then like I do now, you just CANNOT compare Reroute To Remain or Come Clarity to it ! I hope In Flames gets on the right track again soon.
@jigo121 I think every single one of inflames albums sound different. They never cared about genres, they were just being creative and they succeded 8]
