  • Brilliant! It looks like it would be a lot of fun. I did a bit of looking into FL units, can't really seem to find any that I'd be able to get into anytime soon, though, as the minimum age is 16. Very good work, I really like the charge and the music that's put to it. What IS the music?

    Thanks for uploading!

i have the outmost respect for the person who posted this video ( and the other units) and i am not trying to steal recruits. just informing them that there are Soviet reenacting groups for ww2 in so cal

  • how old do you have to be

  • @626chicolp123

depends on the unit . for example our units lowest age is 15.

  • Im 15 and i really want to go into wwII re-enacting, but i dont really know how to. I dont know how to get started. Can you give me any tips on what i might need to do? I live in washington state, below seattle.

  • In most areas of the US, 16-18

  • jjjj

  • do you get paid ?

  • Not at private battles, but Movie makers, TV shows, and bands that need us for music videos all pay us.

  • @katzejaeger not always with movies, i was at a shoot and wasted half my ammo and still had a battle to fight, didnt get 1 penny

  • r they hiring!!!

  • Always.

  • Great footage, i live the shake cam, make youy feel like you were there.Hey i was just wondering if you knew of any German units near Sonoma County CA i live up here and have almost all of my Wehrmacht impression finished(just need to finish getting some field gear) any units you might know of??

    anything is appreciated

  • 352nd Infantrie Div.

    21st Panzer Div.

    98th Gebirgsjager.

All of those are Wehrmacht and always taking new members.

  • cant u be a medic if your 14?

  • Im interested..... but i wanna join the 352nd Infanterie Division.

  • The 352 is an AMAZING unit. If I wasn't starting a unit with a good friend of mine, I'd be in the 352. Pretty hard core group of gentlemen, right there. Good choice.

  • hey how old do you have to be?

  • 16 in California, it varies, depends on what group you join up with.

  • i would like 2 join but i live in new jersey :,(

  • They're all over the U.S.

  • Ebay? thats epic

  • Go to Ohio's Normandy Invasion next year! 4,000 people & vets were there!

  • where does everyone get the gear?

  • u can get it sof military. Jus go type sof military in google and click on the first or second link. I buy my gear from there. Its an England based company. Sells german, american, british ad vietnam reenactor gear.

  • I wish I could do this!

  • nothing wrong with being an ss guy.Even though I am 101st with arizona

  • penguin its dieter!!!

  • through the gates of hell as we make our way to heaven through the nazi lines

  • Do you guys use blanks, or something. Also, how do you know when you're shot?

It looks cool and great video

  • yes we use blanks and when you die its more of a honor system where by when your runnin down the fied and a muzzleflash is pointed at you or looks like it you fall down and remove your helmet to signify your dead.

  • You want to do it as a career? Join the Marine Corps and quit hoping around like a bunch of Kansas City fagots.

  • They Honor the men of the past who put their lives on the line to keep our great country safe. Their way of doing it is by literal example. To call them "Kansas City Fagots" just makes you a flat out idiot.

Never forget the men and woman who have died in the name of the USA.

  • amen :), I reenacte for the 2nd Rangers in florida its fun and the veterans luv it.

  • you mean kansas right?! /:(

  • Watch Blazing Saddles.

  • how do u get into that kind of stff it looks hella fun

  • Scheiss ami...

  • Verdammte Deutscher

  • Do you get "out" or die in these? and how would you?

  • Depends on what the Ally to Axis ratio is. If it's a 3:1, then it'll be a 15 min death time, where as the other side will have a 5 min death time.

  • in florida events when we are told by the referee tht were out we fall back to a different position and FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!1

  • first which group for im in florida with the 2nd Rangers and i thought you had to retreat about 20 to 30 yrds and wait 10 mins?

  • that wasnt the case in liri last year we had to retreat as yall pushed, im in the 2nd ss DAS REICH division were a fairly new unit

  • First, you use real guns, you just fire them with blanks.

As to uniforms and other equipment, What price Glory is a good starting point. For American and German, you can order a complete uniform with all the web gear. If you do Russian, French or others it is harder. If you would like a fun unit, there is a branch of the French Foreign Legion running around So. Cal.

  • They fire blanks guys!

  • is the Guns real? i mean they killing for real?lol

  • Yes they are shooting each other with real rifles and real bullets.

  • i would love to make a reenactment

  • hail victory

  • CHG?/ I'm going to jioin the 2nd infantry division. :D

  • The CHG is Ok. They were better thirty or so years ago.

  • Good unit. What ever happened to Dave Sessions?

  • Well when I attended my first reenactment Sessions was there.

Otherwise after that, I'm not sure. Why?

  • Im from arizona the only reenactment group i found there is a Waffen SS group i might join but i hope to find a American Army group.

  • RMStianic87 there is a american group out in arizona it's the 101st airborne

  • Thanks for telling me if i should do WWII reanactments i will go there. I don't want to be an SS guy.

  • you should use a helmet cam in ur reenactments

    it looks cooler

  • How would you get fake guns that have the muzzle flash?

  • They fire blanks real rounds at one time.

  • Where would I be able to get into something like this? see I already have a uniforn now I just need to find a group in Michigan or Indiana.

  • Hello

I am in the 9th SS Panzer Aufklarungs here in Indiana. I live in Muncie IN. How about you?

  • Search the internet. There's groups in every state, even Hawaii.

  • Sadley there isn't a group in utah my state is a bunch of fags

  • YEAH GO CALI

is there any reenatments near me?

i live in the inland empire

  • There are reenactments all over California. Not to mention the United States.

  • Absolutely

  • Your local internet!!! Try e-Bay

  • Cool looks fun

  • dam it too bad

  • can kids do this because this looks so fun...I'm 14

  • No most groups only fire people at least 18.

  • Sorry, hire* is what I meant to say.

  • Most clubs require parental supervision for those under 16. Many clubs will allow sensible people of your age to play.

  • im with the 82nd airborne

  • I'm with the 2nd SS Panzer in Minnesota =D

  • This kind of reenactment is only on USA? or only americans can do it ?

  • There are reenactment groups all over Europe and even some in Japan and China that I know of. So no its not exclusive to the USA.

  • But its forbidden in Germany.

In Germny you cant go out with an 2. WW uniform, otherwise you go in prison for 10 years.

  • Yes, unfortunately reenactors from Germany have to go to the UK or Eastern Europe to reenact their own history. Sad...

  • of course, the german Government is very stupid, they try to hide the german history.

history is history and iam proud of the german history

  • Ya, me too

  • Indeed sad. The German people should be proud of their history, and Europe needs to loosen it's grip on the history of the Nazis, no matter how devestating. What's done is done, unfortunately, but Germany is a new country. A great one at that.

  • you cant just turn up to a army place and say i wanna be a reenactor!you gotta buy all the weebing and guns and stuff. And plus its gotta be good to get past a inspector!

  • not entirely, period yes, but ship shape and looking as if you were on a front no, very few reenactments have people who go around looking for non-period items or giving personal critiques, there's no way we can get the exact same look as they did 60 years ago

  • i think you should make it so its like a first person thing where your filimg it but you are also in the actionthat way it will make it look like the camera is supose to shake ya know? but that just my idea

  • alsome 2 thumbs up

  • very cool i am looking in to this hobby what unit are you with

  • 82nd Airborne, 504th PIR, H. Co.

  • By the way, I am a 14 re-enactor from NC, yes 14 year olds can re-enact. I re-enact the 82nd AB 504thpir, you can visit us at 504thpirdotcom.

  • im 13..can i re-enact? i really want to

  • probably

  • Nortoon is right. German soldiers didn't act like Hitler. They fought for Germany because it was their duty, which is the right thing to do. In the field they would talk about the EXACT same things Amercian GI's were talking about. Quit with the stereotyping

  • lol this is quite good for once as Im searching for rea-enactments some of you pretend to die... but I agree wheres the germans? also could you do D-Day?

  • nortoon you are so true man i hate racism and im a quarter mexican i dont look mexican thought cuz im german and polish too but im looking into reenacting a german ss soldier cuz im fascinated it doesnt mean i support thier old racial ideas so nortoon you r right

  • omg that looks like so mutch fun

  • we battle so the world never forgets. so the new and up coming gemerations can see what the war really looked like. so people can be educated that not all german soldats were killers and jew haters.

  • if you think what you do is what war looked like, you are out of your mind..what you do is play army, like you did as a kid, only with more expensive stuff..don't even pretend to be educators.

  • people do it for fun to try to see a quarter of what our heroes did 62 years before us just try to see what war is kinda like tho its nothign clcose to it not even 1 percent

  • Where was this?

  • If I were in a reenactment WWII battle, I would be one of the Germans. Everybody always talks about the Allies.

  • good for you then we have something too shoot after..

  • good for you, then I will have someone to win over.

  • this looks awesome, how does one become a reenactor?

  • awesome! i wanna do this! u guys are shooting blanks right?

  • very cool!

  • you should use real bullts one day

  • how the fuck do reanactements work how do u know if u die or not?

  • it's all planned

  • if you see a gun pointed at you and you can tell that the other guy fired it, you use your own judgement. also, it's not like paintball, they actually use a sort of honor system. when they know they were shot, they die.

  • i think iv commented before but cos i think your using blank firing weapons i might ask you if you know where i can buy a blank firing thompson or garand or m1 carbine? im desperate!

  • Semi auto blank firing requires an adapter. The easiest of the bunch is the Garand. The blank adapter screws onto the muzzle. The M1 carbine requires alteration to the gun, we drill out the muzzle a bit and install a setscrew with a hole drilled in the middle. The Thompson is done the same way, but there is a problem. To look right, the barrel must be short, and that requires a federal tax stamp (see NFA).

  • stupid americans, playing ww2 as germans

honor your own troops and do not glorify the SS Units

  • SOMEONE's gotta be a target! I don't know where you are, but how can you have a battle re-enactment without the "bad guys"? You don't quite get the whole idea, do you?

  • Err, sorry to disapoint you, but some crews do reeancting without the "bad guys".

  • That's pretty moronic. What are they re-enacting? Headquarters?

  • Yeah, it's kind a morron shooting at an enemy that isn't there.

All the reenactments i did was with enemies, and when i was once invited to an event without Germans, i just started laughing my ass of with this guy's that w'ere pointing directions of enemies.

  • i love this video

    it shows both sides!

  • cool video! do you or anyone who is reading my comment know of any reenactors or groups in australia? i have looked on the web for ages thanks

  • das ist nicht gut

  • really kool vid. I always was a huge fan of WW2. Do you know if there is renactments in oregon?

  • Guarenteed. You just have to search around the internet. There are many different corporations and clubs in every state! :)

  • You can join my WW2 reenactment unit here in Oregon, just PM me. Also check out my video.

  • thanks, but no thanks. I am a patriot. I want to be an allie, not an axis. Do u know any allies units around Medford, oregon though?

  • Why do you need to be an Allie? they fought for the jewish cause man.. join the good side, the Germans :))

  • D'OH!

  • This may be a stupid question...but how do you know when you've been shot?

  • Also, to anyone wanting to get started in this awesome hobby: Dont do 1/506st (101st) Airborne. Its fun and all, but hey, everyone and their second cousin wants to be airborne after those films aired. But if you absolutley have to, please, for the love of Christmas, don't be Easy Company.

  • You can tell when you've been shot by a judgement call. For public display battles, its known who will win or lose, and you can decide on your own when exactly you 'die.' For the tactical maneuvers that are more of the sport part, they either have umpires, or its an honor system.

Great hobby for anyone enjoying guns, history, camping, etc etc. Little expensive though. Nearly paid $500 for an original M1. Can spend $1000 to get the basics.

  • How much does it cost a typical reenactor for accurate WW2 gear (including weapons)?

  • Great Video.

  • great job on everything ;D

  • Guys, this is a bloody reenactment video. These guys use authentic rifles and fire blanks. There are plenty of other reenactment groups out there that do this sort of stuff as well, with similar mortars. I believe that the way that the mortars in this video function the same as the the others in the reenacting standard.

  • nice video dude, how did you get started into this sort of stuff, and do you ever get any opertunities to be an extra in a movie ?

  • We have had plenty of oppurtunities such as this. We've been on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and have met veterans, "The Gunny", and many other men and women with great cause in this war. We have also been in music videos.

  • dude you do realize that we don't go out and spend weeks in those uniforms, we go out on weekends.

  • Very well done. I cant help but point out the obvious the uniforms were WAY too clean. lol good job lads

  • very nice!!! but for the ALL time reenactment go paintballing!!

  • Check our reenactment out! "Battle for Akron" Colorado, I'm the Head Licensed Pyrotechnician, we use live aircraft, armor, and vehicles, All ventage.

  • hmmm well, if your going into the film biz you really need some sort of script. But the gear and guns are spot on...probably cost a pretty penny too. Oh and also your credits need to slow down, I would add at least 5-8 more frames into the credit line.

For our films we decided to build all of our own guns but found all of our gear at surplus stores around Texas.

  • I can tell the difference between actual guns and airsoft. My step-dad has 3 rifles and I have 2 airsoft guns. They're DIFFERENT!

  • wow! very well done, how much did all of your gear cost?

  • either way it's prety sweet

  • there were what fat 101st airborne

  • DID USE BLANKS,AIRSOFT,CAPS?

  • he used airsoft but edited the video

  • That's bull. We USED BLANKS, REAL GUNS, and the movie is NOT edited, only music was added.

  • ssry i thougt you guys used airsoft

but how did you guys made that mortar

  • ok andrei your wrong there was

  • sorry bout that

  • there must of been some overweight soldiers in ww2 like clerks or something, but when they protray 101st airborne or crack ss soldiers its stretching it a bit far lol

  • im sure there were some fat soldiers although when theyre trying to dress as crack ss divisions or 101st airborne its just stupid.

  • Hey if you don't like it, come out to an event and let us see if you can do better. Not everyone that does this is a skinny ass like me, nickname Slim.

  • Fake.

  • Wait, Was there a fatass in that video? There were no fat soldiers in WWII.

  • Hey Cory, "We need those Shermans,' Private Baker.

  • You must tell me where in Cali!

  • Seems California is the place to go for reenactments... Great video

  • You guys need a shorter fuze on that Mortar...nothing kills realism like a 30 second wait on the mortar firing...
