  • you are going to put a turbine in it?

  • This project has me glued.

I used to work for Cirrus design back when we were getting the sr20 certified...

I was a composite tool maker.

I still have a great love of the work.

Have you considered vacuum bagging your molds, and therefore vacuum bagging your parts...you can't go wrong with the quallity you get with that system.

We did the entire sr20 fuselage the same way you are- the entire thing was CNC'd out of two blocks of high density foam and body worked until it held vacuum...

  • ...It was quite a job... sixteen hour long layups for the high temp fuselage and wing skin molds.

I also worked on the Outrider TUAV project we contracted jointly through Lockheed Martin...perfected some resign transfer methods and injection molding with carbons- some real fun stuff !

Lately I've been working on some safety related designs I've come up with for Heli logging...plus I got a fun little light fighter jet on the drawing board- my dream project...

  • ...Anyway, I love what your doing here...I never had the chance to get into RC planes, but my little boy has got me excited.

We can't wait to see what's next on your project...GREAT PLANE-GREAT JOB !

  • wow I wish I had a job like that

  • I have never heard of vacum bagging the mold I will be bagging all my parts.I will get my parting planes fineshed tonite and ready to start molding in the morning will make a new video soon

  • Why do you have to mold the parts? You already have the entire structure ready right their.

  • that is a heavy solid foam plug I mold to make many as many planes as I want verry easy
