AMAZING work, and very inspirational. I am considering learning how to make planes likes these, though a LOT smaller to start with. I think it would be very good if you could show us the work you do on the plane, but great job!
I used to work for Cirrus design back when we were getting the sr20 certified...
I was a composite tool maker.
I still have a great love of the work.
Have you considered vacuum bagging your molds, and therefore vacuum bagging your parts...you can't go wrong with the quallity you get with that system.
We did the entire sr20 fuselage the same way you are- the entire thing was CNC'd out of two blocks of high density foam and body worked until it held vacuum...
...It was quite a job... sixteen hour long layups for the high temp fuselage and wing skin molds.
I also worked on the Outrider TUAV project we contracted jointly through Lockheed Martin...perfected some resign transfer methods and injection molding with carbons- some real fun stuff !
Lately I've been working on some safety related designs I've come up with for Heli logging...plus I got a fun little light fighter jet on the drawing board- my dream project...
I have never heard of vacum bagging the mold I will be bagging all my parts.I will get my parting planes fineshed tonite and ready to start molding in the morning will make a new video soon
Oh my gosh ive been following this project and i cannot wait to see it fly GREAT choice in plane the B1 is one very SEXY machine I wish you guys the best of luck!!!
I will step by step that is why im doing this I want to share what knowledge dad and I learned over the years and if it helps one person build a airplane it was worth it
Will you use the standard "stealth paint" (non reflective)?

Don't you think you'd get a more scale effect with after burners.
