Well that actually depends on what the multiplayer mission has to offer. Mostly it's warfare type of stuff where soldiers are common, not so much civilians and things. But in the future, there probably will be mods made by people where there will be a wide selection of characters you can choose to be. It all comes down to the mission that the server runs.

However, you can make your own missions in the mission editor where you can be basically anything to want to be (bunnies, civilians, etc.)

no not at all, ARMA ii is a beautifull game, runs pretty much maxed out without AA on my PC and I love the graphics, just on the runway shown in this video, the texture is poor. if you watch it and find the texture im talking about u will agree, it stands out like a sore thumb

They have announced Arma 2 for 360, yes. I wouldn't get my hopes up though, Bohemia sucks at coding for PC, so I can only imagine that any console port done by them would turn out absolutely terrible. Also transferring controls onto the controller would be very difficult.

I love console gaming, and I splashed out on the PC version of ArmA because I knew it wouldn't be the same if I waited for the 360 version.

It'll have the editor on the console versions too. Just like OFP Elite did on the original XBOX, they'll just use a point system when placing objects so you don't fry the hardware and kill performance by adding too many things.
