i tried ground turkey for this.. it came out just fine.. i used wheat tortillas also.. my doctor said that Im not supposed to have alot of high carbs.. so i had to use the wheat ones.. which worked awesomely .. although i added some sourcream at the end on the burritos... lol i did put less into the tortilla.. the filling that is.. and added a bit of cheese inside.. i didnt want to smother the burritos.. i dont know to me that makes it like enchiladas

Wow!! thats a big plate for a small person like you. You eat really good, but Betty why you never taste your food on your videos? I would love to see your face expression on your food. Have a great day, take care
I am a terrible cook but made this and I loved it! I could not find a can of chili without meat so used a jar of Salsa (Mrs. Renfro's authentic Texas) and I think it worked great. I might add more cheese next time. All the best from Nova Scotia, Canada.
I've never seen canned chili without beans here in Canada. Guess I'll have to head down to the states to grab some because this recipe looks really good.
@likethepear - Chilli without beans is consider Texas Style Chilli. Here in Texas most chilli is normally served without beans. To get chilli with beans you have to kae sure what you are buying has them. Also, most hot dog chiili is without beans.
@iTortoise I'm just a "cook." Cooking has been my hobby since I was about 12, so I have a lot of experience. I decided to start sharing my recipes on YouTube; I really enjoy it! Thanks for your sweet comment!
i love your food, but i sorta find this disappointing, i've been trying to find a real mexican burrito recipe, but oh well. Whatever you make is usally just as good -shrug-
Geez Betty that is a very substantial serving size, American proportions I spose, how do you keep youre figure so trim, you are very skinny, and that dish is not exactly low fat, it looks great though, and you seem like a nice gal, Id love you to post a chilli recipe, as here in Australia chilli is not so popular, and you cant buy it in a can, is there a difference in the chilli that you guys put on hotdogs and the chilli that you added to this? thanks for the recipe
@MackLayton Hi! Thanks for your lovely comment! I have about 4 chili recipes in bettyskitchen. The chili I used in this recipe would be similar to what I would serve on hot dogs.
Gessh. I gotta stop watching Bettey's videos, I get so hungry ... but I'm too inept and lazy to take a chance and actually try and do some of these things. :-(
Maybe I'll try anyway one of these weekends and hope I don't burn the place down. It would be nice to have 'em the freezer for work!
I wonder though if that amount of salt is bad for a person's blood pressure? I think they're saying one should avoid salt as much as possible, like the stuff is something one should avoid altogether. Hmm.
@guyNbluejeans I hope you do try some of my recipes! You may lessen or omit the salt in any of my recipes (although it is generally a lot less than in fast food!). Thanks for your comment!
This recipe tastes really good! I also have a great enchilada recipe, if you are interested! I make enchiladas with corn tortillas, and burritos with flour tortillas. Thanks for commenting!
Fea mas bea, tu es muy tonto.. la loca! que paso? ugly is more beautiful, your very silly, kinda crazay, luv the food thanks for the recipes!! yummy burrrritos!
I don;t eat that many! I generally follow my rule of: small portions only. It works pretty well, plus I work out about 4 times a week! Thanks for your comment!
Im Mexican, and im not quite fond of americanized burritos, BUT.. my mouth was watering when I saw how you put the dish together xD we tend to use a mexican cheese called oaxaca :D nice meal betty! as always impressing!
I know my "Mexican" foods are in no way authentic--It's just the best we know how to do in our part of the country. I would love to visit Mexico and see what burritos are really like. I am pleased that you did not find my burritos (and other Mexican attempts) really bad! I just use what I have access to at my grocery store, and put it together in a way that my family enjoys. Thanks so much for your sweet comment--It is so reassuring and encouraging!
Looks great can't wait to try these. I think my son will love them. I wanted to thank you for your recipes I really enjoy making them. You are awesome!!!

Nice! My mom used to make something very similar but was called enchilada casserole.
She put cheese in burrito and remaining burrito filling on top of burritos before the cheese...
adding the filling on top makes it a bit soggy cheesy goodness...
This is great I won't be buying frozen burritos again...
Thanks for sharing!!!
