All other water based wind turbines in existence today are located in the ocean, which is completely different than what we are talking about here. There are no other wind turbines in ecosystems as fragile and unique as Pigeon Bay to compare this situation to, and the fact of the matter is that this fresh water lake provides the drinking water for tens of thousands of local residents - construction threatens to stir toxins up and ruin the water we rely on. This situation is completely unique.
By law, a full environmental assessment is required if the project is generating 10.0 MW of energy. In their proposal, the company in charge of this project states that their output would be 9.99 MW - oh surprise - no mandatory full assessment needed! ERCA only covers up to the shoreline, and if people want independent assessments done they have basically been told they have to pay for it themselves, and it is costly. No one has any answers to these questions, which is the whole problem!!
Just because you cannot hear the noise, it does not mean that noise isn't occurring, and damage isn't being done to people - some studies suggest that the noise generated by the turbines at a decibel we can't hear as regular sound is still doing damage to us. More studies need to be done to know for sure. The problem here is that these companies are using every trick in the book to avoid having a study done on them, because they fear the results. That is why there are still so many questions.
the wind mills COULD attract ufo's, and we made the pollution, but don't care and the lights for aircraft will help with collision avoidance go to blenem Ontario on #3 highway at night and you will see lighting off the windmills you can stand 50-100 feet and hear nothing from them and their is 10-30 of them and they have a WM in Toronto with buildings around it.Stop giving me the if,orcould and give me answers with a university study of other water wind M's that they do any of thoughts affects
