@ToonandBBfan QE is good, she destroyed the Spanish Armada (1588) and so it is only fitting to call a ship after her, although 3 would be nice then the other two could be HMS Ark Royal and HMS Hermes although I would like on to be HMS Horation Nelson.

They are building two but only one will be kitted out & be in service so whats the point? We should have kept our older smaller carriers & the Harrier!!!

@parcourkid Yes, they can. The F-35 will be flown by the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm, they will all be fitted with Arrestor Wires so that both the RAF and FAA planes can fly off of the Queen Elizabeth Class!

@parcourkid They can't at the moment becuase the US have put the arrestor hook in the wrong place and so it cannot be caught properly.

I don't see why we need aircraft carriers. What we need is a giant plane that can fly out and drop hundreds of submarines into war zones.

Government propaganda so as not to let the public think they're spending more cash on the military that people are crying out for else where. Both will be complete to angled flight deck + cat and trap spec so as to allow all year round carrier capability. End of
