there is another video that Monsters of Folk posted that is this exact video except it does not skip and is better quality no sound problems or anything, check it out under MonstersOfFolk youtube page well...here on youtube. just click on the thingy that takes you to their videos (the thing that says monsters of folk underneath the main title of the song and video, near where it says "12 videos")...or just look to the right maybe you'll see it under other videos there. they fixed the audio.

Honestly the skipping audio distortion is making me sick. It does not feel intentional or needed. and doing so takes away the focus from the craftsmanship of the song thus not serving as a "Music Video"

This was my second fave that I saw... But the ending isn't that great. I feel like its all building up to some great miracle or somethihng extraordinary...

I'm very sure that the audio is supposed to be skipping.

And anyone saying it doesn't capture the mood of the song is pretty much wrong. The song can mean whatever you want; however, MOF wrote it so what it means to them is practically the right meaning. And with poets like Conor Oberst writing the words, you might have no idea what he is talking about.

@Katharine777 The band judged all the videos and chose this. As a fan of all the guys in the band, of the band as a whole and of the song, i won't judge them and say: "you, my heroes, should have picked better"- they know what they're doing, they wrote the song and know what it is about and what they want conveyed. All 4 guys have always gone for not-overwhelming, understated videos some may find slow and/or odd- it's who they are. I choose to be a supportive fan and like this video- they do.

This video is clearly not the best in the competition. The girl is cute but the video is very very boring and I do not know why the group chose this one. I can think of 2-3 videos that were way better than this one and I didn't have the luxury to look at all the entries over 2 months. Too bad "Monsters of Folk," you guys missed the mark on this one big time!

This one is awesome! It's not meant to be a barrage of sights and sounds that make a lot of videos feel overwhelming. For me, it captures the mood of the song so well. bravo!

I COMPLETELY agree. It looks good, but if it doesn't hold the audiences attention then why use it. If I never heard of this group, and saw this video I don't think I'd finish it. I mean it has a cute little kid, but the video makes NO SENSE. But thats my opinion.
