Nice vid Mike! Like you Im also a big fan of "The Rifleman".But I do have a question. In the opening scene Lucas shot his rifle RIGHT handed but most of the time during the series he shot LEFT handed.
I was told there were several reasons for this and Chuck Conners did well with both .
Is that right? Do you know the story behind that?
Maybe you can answer a myth I’ve head. I’ve heard that the 1892 cannot be spun cock without the bullet falling out. I also heard the Chuck Conner’s was modified to prevent this. I am about to buy a 92 puma bounty hunter and although I will not be doing tricks with it I would like to know if it’s possible.
very nice shootin' ! and excellent commentary, AMEN ! I understand the "Rifleman" production crew had chuck's 92's modified quite a bit to do those swing cocks and rapid fires without spitting a shell on the ground or stabbing Chucks finger with the trigger, lol. I loved this show growing up and would love to have one of these fine weapons for my own! thx for posting this.
Great stuff. I've loved "The Rifleman" since I was five or six, and I am now 50:). RETROPLEX is currently showing reruns on the weekends. Mike's skill is damn impressive. And he certainly confirms that rapid-firing "The Rifleman's" rifle is controllable with live ammunition. One question, though: are these Winchester carbines? I ask because they seem neither as long as rifles nor as short as carbines -- maybe something in between? Just curious:) --
i watched the show when i was younger, now im getting into it again! seriously that show was so wholesome. unlike today's shows. which is all sex sex sex
this is a sweet video .............my dad has the same gun cal.44 magnum ....im going hunting with it this fall...for deer im 14 and like this gun......im from canada.......ehhhhhhhh
You're a good man Sir!! I live in Rhode Island. It's SISSY LAND. They'd shit, if you came here. In this state, guns are bad, not people. Good shooting!
Mike DiMuzio knows what it means to "shoot straight from the hip."
DiMuzio is a leading expert on the legendary TV western series, "The Rifleman," and builds replicas of the unusual rifle used on the program. The North Carolina resident also is the only performer in the world who is able to do the rapid-fire rifle stunts made famous by Chuck Connors in the classic show.
Hi Friends, this is my little Rifleman mimic promo. It's a little blurry, but if you go to my site you can download it in three different quality levels to watch on your computer. I welcome your comments on it. I am thinking about ideas for a second one. Does anyone have an idea or two? Maybe some different tricks? Please send me your cool ideas! Mike DiMuzio
Since I build and use exact duplications of Lucas McCains rifle, I am using the same screw through the trigger gard that makes it a trick rifle. Thanks for your comment! Mike DiMuzio
Just ordered my rifle from Mike. I can't wait to head down for training when the rifle is ready...
And Mike???
Hate to tell you pal... you ARE kind of a handsome rascal...

Brings back fond memories. I later did a couple of shows with Johnny Crawford during his early singing career back in 1964.

I always watched "The Rifleman" and loved that show. I don't think I ever saw the great Chuck Connors work two rifles at once like you did.
Great job !!!

Do you sell just the levers with the hole and screw already in them for various models? Just curious....
70selvisfan 3 years ago 2
Mike doesnt sell the levers only. If you enjoyed this video, you will probably like the new one he did even more.
