  • snopes.com/religion/einstein.asp Video is completely made up, not Einstein

  • -"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - (Albert Einstein, 1954, The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas and Banesh Hoffman, Princeton University Press)

  • -"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings."- (Albert Einstein, responding to Rabbi Herbert Goldstein who had sent Einstein a cablegram bluntly demanding "Do you believe in God?" Quoted from Victor J. Stenger, Has Science Found God? 2001, chapter 3.

  • I don't want to ruin the party here but just to know if we're all in the same page, Einstein didn't refer to "God" as the christian version of god, if you do some research you will find out how far is his idea of God from what the Christians believe and what the Bible tells us it is.

  • So Evil does not exist because it is the absence of goodness, right? Then, even if I agreed with that conclusion, what is the evidence that a God does exist? Not Faith, not a special feeling in your heart, what supports the "fact" that it is God who provides the goodness? If God is something we do not understand because he is so far above our own thought processes, then why could it not be true that there is another power, force, or natural occurance which provides this "goodness"?

  • Classic straw man.

  • Making it sound poetic doesn't make it any more convincing.

  • there is a fundamental flaw in this argument. for those who don't believe in gods yet not acting evil are exception in this argument, thus this argument is not universal. One don't necessary has to be religious in order to be not evil, and same to those being religious yet doing evil things.

  • watt a boss

  • Well, the problem was challenged and answered in the language and logic it was presented.

  • This is a silly point really, and obviously their is no validity to the story itself anyways.

No philosopher, worth his tuition, would put forward the problem of evil or suffering that way. It's just a fabricated strawman constructed from a silly rumor.

  • @MaximumAxiom Prove it.

  • @MaximumAxiom Actually never mind, it might be a rumor.

  • @alexmoskov

It really isn't my responsibility to demonstrate that a rumor is a rumor. What if I made the claim that Socrates was a male prostitute. There is certainly not enough information out there to falsify my claim, so does that make it true? No, of course not because the default position on a claim is doubt because it is rational to apply the null hypothesis. It would be up to you to confirm the story was true, or whoever created this silly video.

  • @MaximumAxiom

You got me. Einstein was a male prostitute.

  • @Bluedragon094

    Derp herp derp

  • @MaximumAxiom This is why God is God because everyone knows He is there but no one can prove it +D after all what is the point of being God if He cannot play with the minds of wise people? This debate can go on for eternity and precious time wasted when all that really matters is not this debate

  • @MaximumAxiom IF THIS WAS A LIE NO ONE WILL SPEND A FORTUNE JUST TO CREATE THIS FOR FREE

  • @badjaeaux

So if I dumped a few million dollars into making a documentary detailing how George Bush was a robot, would that make the claim anymore true? No, it doesn't matter how many movies or how much money was used to spread information. The information is true if and only if it is actually true, and it makes no difference how much money was invested in the claim or if a lot of people believe the claim to be true.

Unless you're actually trolling me, in which case, well done.

  • @MaximumAxiom Even you had half a Million Dollars to dump you will not because it is just going to be a waste.

  • @badjaeaux

I may not, but people and corporations do everyday. They spend billions of dollars to give you every reason to believe lies in political and advertising campaigns. According to your logic you'll believe them because you'll believe someone if they invest enough money and time.

Base your beliefs on something that actually matters like facts, experiment, studies, research, etc. Instead of believing silly rumors like this video.

  • @MaximumAxiom Advertisers, Politicians spend to benefit themselves but what is the benefit of this? Believers only hope for divine blessing.

  • @badjaeaux

... unless it served a purpose or the people who spent the fortune were mistaken. Are you telling me neither of those are possibilities?

  • @Bluedragon094 This whole video may be truth or may all be made up. But everyone knows there is God Almighty who rules over death.

  • and btw, not just cold but even warmth doesn't exist.

its just Kinetic energy of molecules.

  • @chan625

the energy emitted during its kinetics is heat...

  • @6Ace0Ace0Ace9 Its not energy emitted or anything...IT IS the energy we experience when molecules of high temp gas hit ones in our skin. So what we call heat transfer is actually kinetic energy transfer at moleculer level

  • @chan625

ass... u deleted ur previous message?? fuck off...!!

  • @6Ace0Ace0Ace9 I'm sorry? I never deleted anything first of all and I insist that you mind your language....

and btw its called 'Comments'. Messages are sent privately not posted on videos

  • If you did even the minimal amount of research, you'd find that this incident NEVER happened.

It is an Urban Legend that appeared in the early 2000's.

Not only did this incident never happen with Einstein, there's no evidence that it happened with any scientist.

Why do theists insist on dishonesty?

  • @pandstar Also, Einstein went to Catholic school..why would they have teachers questioning the very foundation of the institute...

Like Einstein, I too believe in God in form of power that runs the universe, but I hate when Religious leadership (all of them not just vatican) starts dictating terms... as if they keep the gates to heaven themselves!

Can't a person reach spiritual maturity even by devoting to music? of course he can! Why go far, Einstein himself did it!

  • awesome!! love it.
