  • The Guy had the balls enuff and the niceness to show the basics. If you need it note for note yer an amateur. I been playing 20 + years and he helped me learn the gist of it.That's all GOOD guitar players need. it not be done to the tee unless ya wanna show off. And that's now what he made this video for. When i get a webcam i'll post it and show you that anyone could learn from this guy. Thanks for the Lesson Bruthar man! And as for you trollers out there shut yer butt yer teeth are showing!

  • where can u get notes for this

  • your tonedeaf

  • good vid helped me out alot

  • its so unbielivable how a simple word "no" has 22 thumbs up

  • is this solo supposed to be difficult?

  • @XristarasGamieste Techically, no. Not this part anyway. If you play it robotic like this guy right here, it's quite simple. But playing this solo with the same feel as Felder himself, now that takes a true champ.

  • @kexmanable yeah..figured it would be a good practice for my bends

  • hey you should play to a metronome because your phrasing and timing is soooooo off

  • lost you at 4.40 to 4.49 not sure what notes, and after, "the chuck bit"? is it worth it?

  • Please can you teach us the hotel california´s covers in acoustic guitar?

  • Many , many thanks . You know? I try this cover by my self and i never got it. After 26 years finally I can do it. Thank You, you are a good and patient teacher. And take care with your cold.

  • Hey dude, nice lessons. I learned this from you and posted my own. Big thanks bro!

  • Aprende a tokar u.u mamarracho!!

  • no offence but you play =really empty..

where's your soul? try to fill you playing..

  • @AdvHacker he isn't playing with an amp so it doesn't sound just right

  • thank you so much..it really helps..

  • thank you!

  • sorry dude...false tab and rythm.. dont simply making a your own video wihout referring to the exact tab :(

  • @addin7575 This is pretty much exactly the same as original, except missing a few hammer ons and slides...(which don't even matter cause everyone plays them differently)

  • @addin7575 learn this, find the mistakes by ear and play it (;

  • sorry dude...false tab and rythm..

  • hehehe g string

  • THANKS DUDE helped alot

  • awesome lesson!

  • awesome man thank you

  • you rock man!!! thanks!

  • thanks it was really helped for me

  • why u did turn of the guitar,,,its almost mute,,

  • I'm sorry to break it to you guys, but his interpretation of this solo is very inaccurate. If you listen to the song and what he is teaching, it is not the same. If you want to see a an accurate solo lesson check out dtm106.

    His solo instruction is amazing.

    Good try though soliesz720

  • a very good teacher..thnx man..

  • Errr... no. Pretty lousy.

  • Some sour notes and you need to mute better, but otherwise a good job.

  • thank you so much im leartning this song from your lessons and you are a very good teacher ... thanks alot for your patients with making this in alll

  • hey due im not trying to criticize or anything you but what you played is completely of tune with the song but i know to play with it in a different way

  • Nice job and clown who criticized you can put His own up for review at anytime.

  • there is no rytm

  • nao entendi porra nenhuma

  • it's 7. 10 , 9 on 3:38

  • good job

  • sry, dont feel very confortable trying to learn with your dam balls in the screen, k, searching another video.

  • practice bending.. you need more practice. ..you are not worthy to teach guitar lesson... so embarrasing.

  • THE WEBSITE DOESNT EVEN WORK U DOUCHE

  • WOW. Bad stuff. Needs to learn how to bend. Check out live Eagles concert footage to see how Don Felder & Joe Walsh play it.

  • Ahhh good, I thought it was just my guitar that sounded shithouse. Now that I've heard yours it must be that all 720's are crap. 81/85's here we come!!!!!!!!

  • What ???????????

  • are you kidding?

  • Just get tabs you morons

  • dude is that like a flaming penguin on the neck ? SWEET !

  • Thanks, pretty good, but it would be good, and this goes to all youtube lesson posters: please explain a little bit about the scales and key involved which help to not just memorize all the thing without context, and also it makes it posible to improvise a little bit if you want

  • You're a great teacher! Slow and lots of explanation along the way. Good view of guitar. Thanks.

  • nice job man ! thanks ! :D

  • jaja you need more practice

  • THAT SUCKED MAJOR ASS

  • great lesson man hope u feel better since you sounded a bit sick on the video. Juste one question around 3min47 you say B7-B10-B8 that last B sounds a lot better to me if its played on the 9th could u gimme any feedback on that? Thnks and again great lesson

  • excellent prof! (great teacher!) merci!

  • That is absolutely the best teaching I have come across to date! Finally someone who takes the time and patience and is NOT there just to show off. We all owe you an amount of appreciation. Please keep it up!

  • @BradmanIII : well, of course you are right! I'm sure chriski95 has the best of intentions and was only trying to help.

  • Power chords

These are not chords and they consists of root and perfect 5th (1 - 5). Their chord symbol is X5 (where X=A ..G#) They are often used in rock and pop because the third is missing, so these 'partial chords' have no major or minor feeling. And they are very easy to play (some guitar players dont know anything else). 'chords' must contain the Root, major 3rd and perfect 5th.

  • @MrFreightdawg thank you, u proved me right

  • 'A' chord is : A,E, Csharp , Am chord is : A,E,C. a 'G' chord is G,B,D, for a 'Gm' simply flat the B. a 'CHORD' must have 3 notes, a 'power' chord is a 'portion' of a chord. an octive of a note fills up the sound, but is only 1 of the 3 notes needed to form the chord. this is why a woodwind instrument can NOT play a chord, but a piano and a guitar can! Solies720 has the best lessons on youtube, my mistake was when he says "G7" i thought he was talking about hitting a G7 chord (B,D,F)

  • Can't find the tabs... Could you help me?

  • what guitar is that

  • @nick12921 Its an Ibanez SZ720 FM The colour is Tabacco Burst.

  • @nick12921 :- i think its a schecter...!

  • @nick12921 is it a PRS?

  • @nick12921 Ibanez SZ720

  • You're Awesome!

  • @chriski95 : you couldn't be more WRONG, but you caused me to watch the great lesson again and i find i am wrong also, soliesz720 is not meaning 'G7' as in a full chord, but rather 'G7' as in 'G' string, '7th fret'. i get it now, but it still takes 3 notes to make a chord.

  • Hey, great lesson. I've recently been playing this solo nonstop! It's freaking awesome hotel california is genius. Check out my video - the result of this recent obsession :) watch?v=tKv2ZlATIjg

  • hey guys

    G8 = THE 8 FRET ON G CHORD ETCCCCC

  • 5:30 to help u thats called a "DEAD NOTE" for real :D btw im learning it xD thanks

  • can anyone please tell me how to do a "B7" and a "G7" and a "D8"? I'm confused! Thanks

  • Great help dude, I'm playing this part pretty well in a matter of half an hour now so I'll check out the second part right away, keep up the good work

  • valeu ai amigo

  • thanks so much

i havnt been playing for long but its a great help so i can play it with my friends

    great video and teaching

    cheers :D

  • no, you are playing 'notes' and calling them 'G7', 'A9' and what-not. a note is a note, and it takes three notes to make a chord. still a nice lesson all slowed down. thanks.

  • @MrFreightdawg it takes 2 notes to make a chord. there is such thing as a power chord. u can grab any 2 frets and call that a chord. even if theyre the same note, but if it is the same note it has to be a different octave. anyways, im sure u just made a mistake.

  • @chriski95 wrong. a chord is three notes played together. 2 is called a double stop

  • @BradmanIII nope two notes is also called a chord. usually is a note and a number. like a D5 chord or a C3 chord.

  • @chriski95 yeah but a d5 and c3 have more than 2 notes played at the same time. 2 notes is called a double stop. a chord by definition is 3 different pitches played at the same time. get a dictionary

  • @BradmanIII no they dont have more than 2 notes played at the same time. in a normal three string power chord lets say on the a string 7th fret. that would be a E5 chord. however, the notes would be e,b, and e again. therefore that is still 2 notes. u could argue that theres 3 notes total its just that 2 of them are the same. then I would argue that u could also play a power chord with 2 strings too. so yeah. 2 notes is a chord. even like a, idont c3 like i mentioned, there is a minor and major

  • @BradmanIII continued, there is a minor and major c3 chord. since the number doesnt designate specifically which 3rd from c u are talking about u can go a half step lower and make it minor or stay and make it major. if u dont understand try playing a guitar. grab the 3rd fret on the 6th string (E) and 5th fret of the little e string. it will make a major or happy sound. now grab the 4th fret instead of 5th at the little e string. it will be minor. they are chords. idk what double stops are

  • @BradmanIII continued again. even in ancient times, they would play a note and either the 4th, 5th, or 8th (octave) because these notes were neither major nor minor. they were considerd i guess pure? cant think of the word. any chord that was major or minor was considered bad. idk how else i can explain it. 2 notes played together = chord. even if the notes are random.

  • @BradmanIII correction. on the guitar part. its 3 on big e. and 7 on little e= minor and on little e = major. those would be G2maj and G2min respectively. sorry about the long responses but i repeat. 2 notes are considered chords. they always have been.

  • @chriski95 okay. idk about u but i fuckin took music theory AND composition in my school and was taught in both classes that a chord is three pitches at the same time. in modern times 2 is called a double stop. maybe not back in ancient times, but today the definition of a chord is three or more pitches played at the same time

  • @BradmanIII Lol. I took AP music theory last semester and i learned music theory when I used to take guitar lessons. 2 notes is definitely a chord. In fact, it can be any 2 notes chosen at random. U might call it a double stop but the rest of the world doesnt. Except jamaica, thats reggae right? idk where reggae is lol.

  • @chriski95 and not many people know what a double stop is. the term was developed by reggae bands in the 70s to 80s. so unless ur into that stuff idt that u would know

  • @BradmanIII en.wikipedia (dot) org/wiki/Chord_(music) I know wikipedia is not the best source but it seems pretty accurate. there is no mention that a chord has to be 3 notes or more. It just says that it is any group of notes something something. i forgot. any hoo it also mentions the thing i talked about how in ancient times on 4th,5th, and octave were considered pure. look it over. still dont know what a double stop is but it probably falls in the category of chord.

  • @BradmanIII again sorry for the long posts. It even says chords dont even have to have more than one note. it oucld be arpeggios but thats sounds weird. just disregard that part cuz it has nothing to do with this.

  • i think the problem ... is that not even you know very well the solo ... still a bit stiff on this one ... but nice lesson any way xD ....

  • Awesome vid you are such a good teacher :D

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
