  • You're very welcome.

    Regards,

    Geert.

  • that audience drives me crazy:-)! sounds like a sanotorium.

interesting to hear it as a pianoconcerto, superb job ,through all the coughing

  • @peterlunow lol for the sanatorium

  • Lovely

  • Great post, thanks ! I am learn more about Poulenc after listening to his Stabat Mater.

  • @iamalittlespy

Poulenc also composed a beautiful Gloria.

    Regards,

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • @geertdehoux Thanks, I will have to check that out. I did get to know his Flute Sonata recently, another very nice piece. There is so much good music out there.

  • @iamalittlespy

    You're welcome!

Yes, his Sonata for Flute and Piano is marvellous, too!

If you like Poulenc's music, you'll probably also like Kabalewsky's, Saint-Saëns', Fauré's and Martinu's, just to mention a few.

The repertoire of so called 'classical' music is endless...

    Kindest regards,

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • @geertdehoux I am familiar with several people that you mentioned. Faure is one of my favorites, I don't know why the popular opinion outside of France is not that kind to him, since he is one of the most advanced and original composers of his time. Especially I like his late piano music, like the late nocturnes and barcarolles. The String Quartet, which for some reason is not that well known is a masterpiece. Thanks for your suggestions.
