Look at his training videos, there are TONS of them. They are in 6 parts. If you really want a true testimonial to Bruce Lee's fighting skills, after Chuck Norris and a few other top karate fighters at that time learned from Bruce Lee, they never loss a fight again.
As for fighting records, you have to understand Bruce went around martial art seminars degrading the very martial arts. If you think the people there being degraded did nothing about it - then you're just dumb.
Furthermore, just because he acted in kung fu movies, doesn't mean he can ONLY act. As far as fighting RECORDS go, yes it is very very limited. However, you must consider the fact that at the time (around the 1960's) how racial whites were against orientals. Orientals at the time were viewed as inferior, dirty and degrading to interact with. Bruce Lee in person, and in movie openly mocked this stereotype. He got jumped and challenged every single day.
And EVEN MORE. Martial Arts may have a large part to do with fighting but it also has very much to do with self physical and mental development. Look at his philosophy in Martial arts, if you can look at it and tell me that it's not worth anything then honestly you know nothing. As for physical development Bruce Lee was able to lift weights that 300 lb body builders were unable to. Bruce weighed 125lbs. No body has yet to perform the physical feats of Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee opened they door to MMA and MMA style free fight. Back then everyone regarded sparring as highly dangerous and believed 1 punch would be able to kill someone. It wasn't until Bruce Lee who introduced full contact sparring to the world that we have full contact competitions as we do today.
Also, back then people were very bound to their style. Bruce Lee was the one who openly stepped down on this one style belief and made it widespread.
So, if you still think Bruce Lee was just some fucking actor who had nothing significant to do with real Martial Arts then I feel very very sorry for you. UFC president Dana White even acknowledges Bruce Lee as "the Father of MMA".

I was a boxer for many years, and boxers take a ton of hammer blows to the head, over and over and over, in fights, competition and in practice... MMA fighters mix all the blows up with kicks to legs, take downs, grappling, etc.. Boxing is like 90% head shots, MMA is like 30 to 40% head shots... and is not a total set up where boxing is full on blasts to the head.. In MMA, you are more off balance, etc...
Honestly, that's not a realistic idea there... hahaha...
In boxing, you go round after round after round with full on blasts to the head, over and over and over... Even in the worst MMA fight, a fighter will not take anywhere near the damage to the head... Period! There is no question... Just look at the statistics... Boxers by far have a ton more brain damage... ask the doctors who deal with them! Period! You haven't fought before, have you? I have, for many many years!
Know why boxers take more damage to the head? Cause they dont know how to block attacks like they MMA fighters learn when doing martial arts, boxers just put their hands up and pray... Boxing has a great offence and is used in almost every MMA fighters style and for good reason, but boxing as a whole style is not very well rounded, no grappling or kicks or anything but punches. Many boxers die from head damage, instead of taking all thoughs hits to the head just learn to block lol
Also use a little common sense... In boxing, it's hammer blow after hammer blow.. hands are a lot faster and easier to slam into the head... Leg kicks and knees are slower and take time to set up... And, in MMA, it's spread out... not 100% of the blows go to the head... IN boxing, 90% do go to the head... IN MMA, it is spread out to the intire body, legs, body, head... And, a lot of time is spent doing take downs, take down defense, submission, submission defense, etc. etc.. Think about it...

well boxing doesnt exactly suck...and i think bruce lee brought kung fu/jkd around the 70s, but karate came around the 50s or 60s. besides bruce lee was much more of a martial philosopher, he even recounted the validity of jkd shortly before he died

Look at his training videos, there are TONS of them. They are in 6 parts. If you really want a true testimonial to Bruce Lee's fighting skills, after Chuck Norris and a few other top karate fighters at that time learned from Bruce Lee, they never loss a fight again.
As for fighting records, you have to understand Bruce went around martial art seminars degrading the very martial arts. If you think the people there being degraded did nothing about it - then you're just dumb.

Furthermore, just because he acted in kung fu movies, doesn't mean he can ONLY act. As far as fighting RECORDS go, yes it is very very limited. However, you must consider the fact that at the time (around the 1960's) how racial whites were against orientals. Orientals at the time were viewed as inferior, dirty and degrading to interact with. Bruce Lee in person, and in movie openly mocked this stereotype. He got jumped and challenged every single day.

Look at his philosophy in Martial arts, if you can look at it and tell me that it's not worth anything then honestly you know nothing. As for physical development Bruce Lee was able to lift weights that 300 lb body builders were unable to. Bruce weighed 125lbs. No body has yet to perform the physical feats of Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee opened they door to MMA and MMA style free fight. Back then everyone regarded sparring as highly dangerous and believed 1 punch would be able to kill someone. It wasn't until Bruce Lee who introduced full contact sparring to the world that we have full contact competitions as we do today.
Also, back then people were very bound to their style. Bruce Lee was the one who openly stepped down on this one style belief and made it widespread.

I was a boxer for many years, and boxers take a ton of hammer blows to the head, over and over and over, in fights, competition and in practice... MMA fighters mix all the blows up with kicks to legs, take downs, grappling, etc.. Boxing is like 90% head shots, MMA is like 30 to 40% head shots... and is not a total set up where boxing is full on blasts to the head.. In MMA, you are more off balance, etc...

In boxing, you go round after round after round with full on blasts to the head, over and over and over... Even in the worst MMA fight, a fighter will not take anywhere near the damage to the head... Period! There is no question... Just look at the statistics... Boxers by far have a ton more brain damage... ask the doctors who deal with them! Period! You haven't fought before, have you? I have, for many many years!

Know why boxers take more damage to the head? Cause they dont know how to block attacks like they MMA fighters learn when doing martial arts, boxers just put their hands up and pray... Boxing has a great offence and is used in almost every MMA fighters style and for good reason, but boxing as a whole style is not very well rounded, no grappling or kicks or anything but punches. Many boxers die from head damage, instead of taking all thoughs hits to the head just learn to block lol

Also use a little common sense... In boxing, it's hammer blow after hammer blow.. hands are a lot faster and easier to slam into the head... Leg kicks and knees are slower and take time to set up... And, in MMA, it's spread out... not 100% of the blows go to the head... IN boxing, 90% do go to the head... IN MMA, it is spread out to the intire body, legs, body, head... And, a lot of time is spent doing take downs, take down defense, submission, submission defense, etc. etc.. Think about it...
