  • ok so i have much respect for your ableton skills, but had an audio engineering question.. whats your opinion on tom panning cus it seems they are panning as if you were the drummer and if im correct that is for personal monitoring not recording the toms should sound as if your facing them . just curious , you write amazing stuff. just thought i could help or get your opinion its all in taste , i guess.

  • @TKAM88 Hey thanks man...no that is a good question. I have heard from some producers who like it one way and some like it the other way. It all boils down to taste and I don't think there is a wrong way personally. I am a drummer by nature, so I like that perspective. I feel like it puts the audience on stage with you...but it is really whatever you wanna do

  • which snare did you use from the vengeance pack if you don't mind me asking.

  • @damienlosa1 I use a combination of 2 snares...they always vary though. Just listen to your track and try to get a good idea of what you want the sound to be. I like to find a thick bottom heavy snare and a crisp high pitched cracky snare then just layer the two.

  • SON OF A BITCH.

  • youre good !!!

  • Thanx man sounds super :)

  • why not use a drum rack it puts the individual sounds inside the sampler i mean is there a difference or its just a personal favor thing

  • @xStiltzkin It's a personal preference, I feel really comfy with impulse but Drum Rack is really good as well especially because you can put a lot more samples into it.

  • @MikeeDwyer i tried your way too and is pretty cool (i get what you ment by comfy) thanks for the good tutorials learned cool things from you (id love a dubstep lead tutorial though SEVONICA - Farewell To The Firewall (BeatMassHeavyRemix) of this :D )

  • dude ur peaking all the time

  • I usually just throw a utility on the master channel and drop it down till it doesn't peak anymore when I am ready to mix. This is just a demonstration I did on the fly...

  • good one mikey but can u make a tutorial on the arp too ?

  • Thank you I appreciate it!!

  • Awesome dude, keep it up! I love this song!
