you want to have a genuine debate? make it a law that each candidate can only use $1mil per 6 mos before the election to run commercials (radio and tv, newspaper etc), have one debate every 2mos. with every 3rd debate taking questions directly from the audience, unscripted, make every candidate who skirts around the issue instead of answering a question receive a black mark so everyone knows....

I really hate the veneer of democracy this and the "town meeting" format lend to the official debates. CNN receives over a thousand questions, and CNN narrows it down (in secret) to a dozen or two according to the values and priorities that CNN, a for-profit corporation, has. If YouTubers themselves could vote on which questions would be asked (within very simple rules; i.e., no obscenity or profanity), that would approach real democracy.

Medical Care is a hot topic. Many American's cannot afford proper treatment. I am 20 grand in debt from no medical coverage and cannot afford to get proper treatment so I was forced to self medicate for a period of time. Cooper won't divulge things like his personal political stance or his religious beliefs because he doesn't think a reporter should. He dislikes advocacy journalism and tries to present information in an unbiased way.
