  • @cougarpride2020 ......considering locking out you have to lift the weight higher up...locking out is hard than not

  • @CougarPride2020,

It depends where you are on your training. Sometimes I can do more if I go full extenstion on both the bottom and the top with an ever so slight pause on the bottom and top. It seems I get a bit of a rest that way.

During other phases of my training, it is sometime easier for me to not lock them out.

That is why I switch my training around.

  • probably gets a solid 405x1 or more considering this vid.

  • @kmal2t id say more like 500

  • @Jokk3asd

I say you are more accurate than the 405 estimate... if and perhaps only if he trains for both hight reps and low reps.

When I was in my early forties as show by my picture with the trophy, I was able to do 230 for 62 reps in 60 seconds. and 22 reps with 325 and 480 for 1 rep touch and go.

Not too bad for an 181 lb. old fart without a bench shirt or steroids.

  • @vulcanvinny Impressive stats! Raw and Natural is the way to go. Gets most respect!

  • are those 100lb plates. If so wouldnt that make it 245lbs???

  • @lovesomecujo IF THEY WERE 100 lbs plates that'd be 445 pounds, your dumb

  • @xSupresed he was figuring it was 1 100lb plate on each side. your dumb

  • @iKrackeD let me rephrase that, your blind and dumb

  • @xSupresed there ya go

  • Comment removed

  • @lovesomecujo i was defending you but okay

  • @iKrackeD hey man i accidentally posted that to you the first time but erased it. and then posted it to the dickhead that called me dumb. i apoligize for the mix but and appreciate the support haha

  • @lovesomecujo no worries bud i figured

  • wow those are some solid reps not bouncing arm extension good props to that guy he should be proud of that

  • It may not be a full lock out but I'm sure at the NFL combine this would be fine, got guys slamming the weight off their chests and no lockouts it would be good

  • I can barely do that five times/:

  • Wow, just did 225 for 1 rep =O

  • that shit is toy weight

  • last week I've done 225 for 1 rep and I've felt badass until now..

  • @Cavar21 Same here! except i did it today lol

  • I'm 13, actually natural, and I can do 225lbs for more reps than that with REAL form and pauses.

    Have video proof

  • @AndyHarglesis

I can bench 800 pounds with one arm while sneezing and I'm all natural.Funny how for 2 years after trolling, you are still 13.

  • @Cadbil Congrats for you, little boy. ;D

Anyhoo, I don't troll, and certain wouldn't do it for 2 years considering I'm going on 14 soon. :P

You have poor perception of time and space. lol.

  • @AndyHarglesis

    *yawn* just a troll

  • @AndyHarglesis LOL!

  • @AndyHarglesis who are u trying to fool

  • Roids? He weighs twice what he's benching, that's cake

  • roids

  • lock your arms out....

  • @CougarPride2020 its actually harder without locking them out :p

  • @CougarPride2020 Actually by not locking his arms out he's keeping constant pressure on his chest. Just saying.

  • i wish 50lbs.

  • i hate people who fuckin lie say that they can do 160 then like 1 month later you tell me you can do 210 6x i like to see that people lie just to show off strength that they don't even have its worthless because when people actually watch u and find out u lift no wear close then your a fake ass bitch

  • ehhh, looks a little easy, i rep this weight 76 times, and i actually lock my arms every time! but i only attempt this after i drink a gallon of milk, 2,000 push ups and fuck my Husband.

    XOXO

  • decent... i can do it 60 times after i do my 500 pushup warmup

  • I dont know about y'all, but I counted 0 reps... Homie didn't lock his arms out once.

  • @MICHFAN55 you're not supposed to lock your arms out, you go right before you do, because "locking out" is bad for your joints

  • That's awesome. and he barely bounced it off his chest(if at all) unlike this other fags.

  • LOL @ the people talking shit about his form. Put a vid up or shut the fuck up. I've been lifting for over 3 years and I can barely rep 225 for a few so I know half of these assholes don't know shit and probably couldn't even unrack this.

  • I spend a lot of time at the gym and I can tell you that anyone who makes a 100 kgs look like chicken feed is ridiculously strong. you cant lock your arms out at that speed or you would risk injury to your elbow joint. so stop with the jealousy and get your fat arses down the gym.

  • nice bench shirt underneath,,,,,poor extension

  • Looking at most of these comments really makes me believe 99% of you have competed and have high raw totals. Truth is...99% of you can't bench 2 plates once and you're the kind of people who sit on machines going reaaaalllll slow with 1 plate selected doing nothing for a whole hour at some bullshit gym.

  • push it all the way up ass whole or dont post this shit

  • @stuart7337 probably still way more than you can do

  • @MrJakeFTW im a sophmore so if he couldnt then he would be a pussy anyhow. also this arent even worth doing.. think about if someone squatting half way down you would call them a dumbass

  • @stuart7337

alright keyboard warrior lets see you even try and attempt that weight

  • @stuart7337 i know he may not be going down all the way,but still 225lbs 59 reps is still really good.

  • He has the physique of a typical american, i wonder why.

  • @zScottzz And your point is, what exactly? That you're an arrogant prick? Or a troll (Which is kind of sad in itself.)?

Also, the typical human being would not be able to bench press 135 lbs even once. It requires serious dedication just to get to 225 lbs for most individuals. He probably lifts more than you, and he goes to the gym actively. Also, physique has little to do with fitness at all.

  • @shiron236 My point is this video is nothing impressive, the weight on the bar is probably less than his own bodyweight. Comparing bodyweight to power ratio this guy has nothing on me, if you think that this video is impressive then i doubt you even go to a gym.

  • @zScottzz Facepalm. Relative strength is complete bullshit. Also, strength has no correlation to size if you know anything about the human anatomy or weightlifting in general. Also, if relative strength is true, you're complete shit to ants and most small animals.

Stop acting as if you know anything about physiology. You're just another know-it-all teenager whose completely oblivious to his ignorance. Heh, just another kid whose inflated ego has been hand-fed by his parents.

  • @zScottzz Anyways, I know if you attempt to make an half-ass attempt in insulting me without mustering a proper argument, I know you're just another nerdy, pathetic troll looking for attention and wouldn't say shit to people like this IRL :D

  • @shiron236 Oh so i can't insult you for the sake of being called a nerd by a man who gives me an essay on human anatomy. I never said strength has correlation to size if you look i said weight. Don't bother writing me an essay because i don't give a shit about what your opinion is.

  • you guys are clowns those are 45pound plate. the dudes beast with a wide grip its a shorter rep and you have more control. beast

  • That's not an olympic bar it dosnt weigh 45 lbs look at it and those weights are smaller that any 45s I've seen. I could be wrong though.

  • @CashRaining It is an Olympic Bar. If you ever watch something on video, it looks smaller in proportion than in real life. Not to mention, the perspective of the camera is drawn back, so it looks smaller. If in doubt, use proportions, the 45 lbs plates is like 4x the size of the spotter's head, so if you imagine that visual image in your head, guess what it comes out to? The size of a 45 lbs plate.

I don't like wide-grip bench press, but there's no denying this guy is strong.

  • or not a wide grip makes it easier or not. If he has a strong ass chest and his tri's aren't equal, then that argument is down the drain

  • I went back and paused it and I think I was wrong about the plates, i thought they were 35's. and as for the locking out, i use a wide grip on my bench every other day and i can still fully lock out my elbows. as can everyone i know. The width of your grip doesn't change anything having to do with locking out (assuming his physiology is the same as the rest of the human race). And if you're honestly going to tell me that that dude isn't fat, you're retarded. And you can't speculate about whether

  • 1. Those aren't 45 pound plates.

    2. He never ONCE locked out his elbows. So none of those would have counted....In ANY competition.

    3. He's so fat he only had to move the bar about 6-8 inches. Whereas a normal person would have to move it at least 12.

  • @chacegalloway

    1. Those look like 45lbs weights to me, but I'm not 100% sure. How much do you think they are and why do you say that?

    2. His elbows were about as locked out as they could be considering the very wide grip he was using, so he did them just fine.

    3. He's really not that fat. He was a pretty thick dude, but really not that fat. The wide grip made it less length, but wide grip, at least I think, is harder.

  • is it just me that can hear Alice in Chains' - 'nutshell' - in the background?

  • He's so big he only has to move the bar about 6 inches though...

  • thas one big ass motherfucker

  • those arent 45s....

  • If you went by NFL combine standards, you could probably do even more. They don't may that much attention to form.

  • very impressive! don't mean to discredit the guy by any means, but only a couple of those were full presses. i'd like to see what he can do with strict form.

  • actually did fuller reps than 99% of the people doing reps at 225 (half reps bouncing off the chest). It was a good set, but I'm only giving him credit for 58, didn't lock out his left arm on the last one. But like I said, good set.

  • half ass

  • Incredible

  • he didnt even extend his arms half way..

  • @WRexXPSN STFU...stop hating.

  • @WRexXPSN your not to fully extend your arms, it will mess up the elbow joint

  • now get your fat ass on the road and run

  • He's fat? You know how STRONG this guys heart has to be in order to move that much weight for THAT many reps! This mans the pinnacle of good health and strength!

  • Wish i could do 225 for 1 :/

  • @MrChrisomg123 are u like 12?

  • kinda stupid, because he's still fat. What kind of health benefits could this bring?? That may be defeating the point, but no one can you tell you can lift that much if you're not in a weight room

  • @NewGameReleases cardiovascular cause of the high rep range which gets the heart pumping, it would benefit anyone's health. but usually people do it with jogging, biking, swimming etc.

  • @NewGameReleases

Look, some people do this for themselves and no one else. Powerlifters for example almost all carry extra weight because it helps them lift. The ultimate goal is to see how much weight you can push, not how you look.

That being said, I could tell this guy is a monster from 100 yards.

Second, weight lifting has health benefits no matter what your body weight. Do not mistake active overweight people with couch potatoes - their health is nothing alike.

  • @alin1975 it's still icky

  • @NewGameReleases

    What are you a child?

  • @alin1975 yup

  • @NewGameReleases why did you look up this video. you obviously know nothing about athleticism. go look up the next elder scrolls game faggot

  • @G00617186 you're saying that man looks like an athlete? strong/athelticism are two different things. And skyrim is amazing don't hate

  • @NewGameReleases first of all, you can bowl and be an athlete. Bein an athlete is a very broad description. the man clearly cant run a 4.3 forty dash, but bein able to bench that 59 times, hes got some pretty good cardiovascular endurance to add to that strength. That is an athletic feat that many wish they could do. With that kind of upper body ability, and maybe some skill training, he would make an exceptional offensive lineman. So yes, he does look like a hell of an athlete

  • @G00617186 maybe I misused the word athlete for healthy

  • Weighing somewhere around 180 lbs and no chicken legs (evenly distributed weight), I think I might've managed 6, 7, or 8 reps as a personal best, but importantly without spring-boarding the bar off of my chest. I've become less vain since, so I don't bench as often.

  • wish i could bench this 5 times.....

  • i bet he could of done more reps if the music wasnt so slow

  • You fuckin haters, I bet can't even bench 225 one time!!! So suck on it!!!

  • @jaybirdy22 his like 275 lbs too...

  • @nasusanus and he can probably max 500 too...

  • i bench this for max, he does it like hes this like i do 100 lbs

  • I wish I can rep 135 lbs 59 times

  • @KoreanChocoBoy thats 225 it 2 45's on each side

  • @bigbeaddles I know, im just stating that I can't even do 135 59 times.

  • @KoreanChocoBoy ahahahahaha FUNNY SHIT NIGGA

  • @KoreanChocoBoy haha i weigh 150 and i can bench 135 prbbly 6 times or 7 maybe 8 first set lol

  • @datu0108 haha thats good man as long u work hard and GET HUGE YEEEEUH

  • @KoreanChocoBoy yeahh man. tnks =].

  • @KoreanChocoBoy the bar weighs 45. there are two sides. on each side there are two plates. each plate is 45 lbs. so we are up to 5 different 45 lbs weights including the bar. geuss wat 5 times 45 is........yup 225. form wasnt perfect but stuff impressive

  • @melodametal I know its 225, I'm not dumb!! puaha.. I'm just stating that I can't even do 135 59 times which shows how ridiculously insane this lift is.

  • i can die happily if im ever able to push 225 that easily

  • Incredible strength people... form varies depending on what you are trying to achieve in a given workout... this was very impressive, no matter what.

  • heart attack at any moment

  • nice

  • i guarantee ppl that lock out all the time arent makin as fast gains opposed to ppl who lock out at like the last 2 reps cuz thats how u build faster muscle plus he's just doin speed reps so stop hating haha this is great

  • hes not even going all the way up

    BRO thats SOFT

  • This guy here is probably benching over 500, however those reps were inadequate. Probably would have done 40 clean.

  • He had at lest 4 more reps he could have done.

  • i counted 49 reps, still good tho lol

  • @ChipmunkJLD def 59, its hard to keep up aha

  • @ChipmunkJLD

then youre a dumbass learn to count

  • COME ON OLLY!!!

  • Lol the plates look so small, hahah! His grip is so wide!

  • AWESOME GOOD JOB

  • HONESTLY IM NOT HATING CUS THOSE WERE SOME PRETTY GOOD "BURNOUTS" BUT U DIDNT EVEN LOCK OUT, WATCH COLLEGE COMBINES AND SEE HOW THEY HAVE TO BENCH

  • @RubbaBandMan2 college combines jokers are the most ridiculous lifters out there. None of them can push 500 raw. Aything under this weight isn't worth of mentioning. Just bunch of weak kids.

  • great endurance

  • nice man, thats insane, i hope i can get as strong as you one day man, im at 35 reps or so now, thanks for the inspiration!! keep working hard brother

  • im 7 and i can bench 435 for 6 reps

  • that form was ok, I've seen a lot worst on videos, curious what is the record for most reps at 225? the most posted on youtube is 60 but was kinda b.s. the form, I'm supposing 60 reps is the most a human could possibly do on this weight 225. I know a lot of powerlifters may not do exceediingly well at this because they train for an orm not max reps which includes more stamina than brute force

  • tiny range of motion, awful form

  • @lordOFbrooklyn not really, considering how wide his grip is

  • impressive

  • Big man w big strength

  • am 20 year old 12 stone and i did 20 reps with 100kg

  • DAMN!!!!

  • id get so bored after 20 reps

  • good work!

  • wow nobody understands how easy it is to bench press when your arms are short as fuck, look how high hes lifting the bar. Want to know why this guys arms are so short? its because hes probably only been bench pressing for like 6 years...

  • @WowHobbsFails Wow it is surprising how much you don't understand. The wider the grip the more chest you use so if you are going to do multiple reps of 225 you want a wider grip so your not using only your triceps. So before you start taking away what this guy did do you research!

  • @WowHobbsFails quit hating

  • Half reps, plus looks like he was hiding a bench suit under that sweatshirt. Strong guy, but common!

  • @semper209 Wtf does a bench suit have to do with anything it takes alot to do even 20 reps of any exercise with any weight like that and half reps my A** this guy worked hard for that give him some respect

  • @m1shadow yeah that is in my prime.

  • Very impressive! Raw strength and muscle endurance combined!

  • @MrRanger 1987 in my experience you are wrong to some extent. Not near as many people as u say can hit 225lbs on bench touching their chest with decent form for 10 reps. unless u work out in some special gym. Most guys who lift on a regular basis not SUPER hardcore that are pretty lean..12% bf or less work out with 185lbs to 205lbs for 8-10. Dont get me wrong there are a good amount who can hit 225 for 10 but not near the amount you imply. thats coming from 7yrs experience in many diff gyms

  • im just 13 at 200lbs of muscle and 6'4 and i can bench 300 raw for over 20 reps

  • @13andincrediblycut u're a said said said case

  • @muzimuzi I don't understand. :(

  • @13andincrediblycut great lets see a video

  • @13andincrediblycut then post a vid that b awsome

  • Beast.

  • wonder if he ever tore his left pec. the bar is leaning to his left and his left arm doesnt extend as far as his right on any of the reps

  • Comment removed

  • Tomorrow when I come in for my workout I am going to slam you, broken foot and all.

  • One of the best gym songs of all time!

  • Maybe it would be impressive. . .if you didnt weigh like 400 pounds asshole.

  • @NRP128 stfu ure prolly a weak lil' bitch that cant bench 150 pounds.

  • @cmmeece I benched 365 for 3 reps last night.(raw,normal grip,correct form,19 years old,202 pounds)

  • Comment removed

  • @NRP128 what would weighing 400lbs have to do with bench pressing 225 59x? lets see your video of you doing it 1x? just 1x how about that fag

  • @MrRanger1987 Actually being 400lb has alot to do with bench press and other lifts, simply the more you weigh the easier it is to lift more weight, thats why there are weight classes.. Im not knocking on this guy but if he lose 100lbs his bench would go down, more like 225x30 than 59.

  • @HeavilyArmoR3D 225 isnt a lot of lb. just about every person i have ever seen that really works out on a normal basis can do it for atleast 10 reps and they dont weigh over 220lbs for the most part. 225 x59reps is muscular endurance not strength. 500lbs is strength. this guy has hell'a endurance to lift 225 that many times but it doesnt mean he could bench 500lbs. those are two different kinds of muscle fibers and strengths. he might be able to but just because he is bigger doesnt mean he can

  • @MrRanger1987 This is olly pierce, The meaning of this video was to compare me to every NFL player that has ever gone through combine testing. Just so you understand each and every NFL player has to go through the combine and they all have to see how many times they can benchpress 225 Lbs.. FYI I have benched pressed 685 Lbs RAW. Please educate your self before you make a dumbass comment about a bunch of fagots barely benchpressing 225 for 1 rep.

  • @HeavilyArmoR3D Actually, weighing more doesn't neccesarily mean you can lift more. They have weight classes, because heavier guys tend to have a lot more muscle. If someone weighs 400lbs and mostly fat, that doesn't mean they can automatically bench more than someone who's lighter. And this dude is pretty muscular not fat, so no shit he would lose strength if he lost a 100lbs. If he had 100lbs of fat and lost it, his strength wouldn't really suffer too bad compared to losing muscle.

  • @kodijoz01 You're wrong.. Heres an example, take 2 guys who never lift weights before, guy A is 5"10 300lb of fat and guy B is 5"10 120lb skinny with some muscle, who would you think get stronger in a year if they start working out at the same time, both eat right and work hard, dont tell me guy B, if you do then you're a retard..

If this guy lose 100lb of fat and kept all his muscle hes bench would go down no matter what..

  • @HeavilyArmoR3D No. You're comparing to people who obviously are going to have different muscle mass. The guy A will probably be stronger but you're thinking that for the wrong reason. Its not because of his fat, its because he will probably have more muscle mass than the 120 guy. Now heres a better example, this of course assumes every factor is the same except weight. Guy A weighs 300, 150lbs muscle and the rest fat. Guy B weighs 170lbs, 150lbs muscle rest fat. They should get just as strong

  • @HeavilyArmoR3D also the guy in the video can't lose 100lb of fat because he simply doesn't have it. I'd say 50lbs tops. And if he lost that, yeah his strength would suffer, I already said that. So quit saying to make it sound like your right.

  • wtf is you max? holey shit haha you make me look like a bitch i can only get that 8 times....

  • @acharris1991 i can only get it once.. x]

  • nice!

  • i take that back those pretty good, impressive

  • i take that back, those are pretty good, very impressive

  • i take that back, those are pretty good, very impressive
