they all looked like they were either really cheap toys with "a who cares as long as I get a note of it cause it's processed anyway" attitude or expensive super specific antique analog electrodes.
the white pedal is definetely a boss dd3. or maybe dd2. I think it's a boss sampler, and som sort of sequencer. I'm only guessing about the keyboard, but it seems to have small-ish keys so it could be the microkorg. I think it's all fairly basic stuff.. And, yes, a mixer up in the corner.
I opened up for him at this show, and got to take a long peek at his table of gear... keyboard is Yamaha pss-series, boss sp202 sampler, kog ea-1 groovebox, DD-3 delay, mini-mixer, and some toy keyboard with a remote keypad (his upper right)... That's all I can recall at the moment.
Thanks for your reply ... which band are you in? The stuff he plays is actually very simple ...and stuff he did with the spacemen - ..well, you don't need to be able to play the guitar to play it - max.3 chords!
when my band "music.for.headhones" opened for him, boom stayed backstage getting high, drinking strawberry Kwik and eating our sushi. He liked us, calling us a "stereolab mindfuck" Remember, 3 chords good, 2 chords better, 1 chord best.
yup.. i just saw him monday , and he had a pss-480, hooked up to a boss syb and one of them little casio pt things .. and yes.. i dug how dusty it all was ..
and man, you are so lucky you got to open for him.. we woulda except the sad fact is i'm such a hermit these days that i swear i didn't find out about it untill 6 days beforehand .. by the way.. you and i have been myspace "freinds" for a while .. small world, but i guess not too small..
question for the gear heads....what is the equipment he is using up there? top right looks like a mixer, but i can't tell what the rest of the equipment is including the white pedal.
I know him in real life.
He lives 1 street away from me!

I don't think the keyboard is a microkorg I think it is probably an old casio ketboard.

Do you know what kind of mini-mixer he was using?

behringer Eurorack... maybe a xenyx.
The one defining factor about all his gear is that it was FILTHY dusty...

Wow... he definitely didn't have the SYB when I saw him. Awesome way to put diamond boots on a two-dollar whore.
