  • CAN SOMEONE HELP! my excrise calls for multiple planks sometimes 15 and sometimes like 40 or something dumb regardless my question is on my workout guide it show the person in the tut (but a cartoon motion picture) like hold for about 5-10 secs. is this what you should do for counting one or am i saposed to hold for as long as i can 15 times? i tried that once and couldnt get through my workout!

  • Nice vid ladies, but Brooke's back was sagging (anterior pelvic rotation) and I'm not a fan your advanced plank variation. Rotating from your low back like that is exactly what the plank is supposed to protect against. Check out my video on common mistakes with the plank exercise on my channel

  • @IslandGirl680 You are letting your hips drop too much. Keep your whole body straight. May be best to do them in front of a mirror to make sure that you keep your body straight.

  • ironically Brooke's form is terrible in this how to video. a plank is a core exercise - working stabilizer muscles in the back as well as abdominals. her shoulders are retracted and contrary to the tip she provides, she's not drawing her navel in toward her spine. the trainer has excellent form but Brooke's is the exact form you want to avoid if you don't want injury!
