wow what has the world come to. What ever happened to freedom of belief, our basic human rights? so what theres scio schools? theres also muslim schools and Cathlic schools. As far as I know scientology is against Drugs and Psychiatry. Thats enough for me. The report was very unprofessional and bashed the religion on the supporting evidence of an annonymous photographer. The problem here is that the photographer, Flora Sullivan, a scientologist, was presumed to be a self-evident scientologist simply because she was taking photos. More journalistic follow-through would have removed that obstacle to debate by revealing who she is.

I disapprove of scientology's covert strategies. But that doesn't mean every single scientologist is amoral any more than scientology's critics are de facto SPs. Many scientologists are good people who don't realize they're victims.

@Emmness: Identifying the issue doesn't imply unrealistic expectations of a mainstream news entertainment program. What it does suggest is this: Either TT knew and didn't bother to report it, or didn't know and assumed so based on behavior. The first case is an oversight. The second is an act of prejudice. Even though the reporter was right about her, he was wrong to assume so, just as scientologists are often wrong in calling others SPs.

The Problem with it all is that their assumptions are made with no thought put behind them. They assume that, because she denies being a scientologist, then of course, she is one. It's bullshit.

By the same token many 'orthodox' religions shouldn't be allowed to be tax-free. Christianity -according to its scriptures- requires a tithe to be paid to God, which is fundamentally the same concept as selling your teachings. To the concerns people raise about deaths etc. the predominantly Christian-led Holocaust as a historical example, and the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian sectarian violence in the Middle East as current examples blow them out of the water.

We shouldn't have schools with a slant towards any particular religion, anymore then we should have schools with a slant towards a particular political ideology or economic policy: Like Communism or the Labour party.

Schools shouldn't be legally aloud to slant towards a particular ideology, they should just be secular. Allow kids to make up their own mine, and don't indoctrinate them, using tax payers money to make things more annoying.

She lost immunity from public scrutiny when she decided to hide behind bushes and take pictures of reporters to intimidate them, then lied about it when confronted. She made herself into news. Maybe public humiliation will lead her to thinking a bit more about what she is doing, and hopefully realize that she is a pawn in Miscavige's war on the world. I'd love to know her reaction when she gets blamed by Scientology for screwing up: maybe it'll be the last straw, and she'll blow?
