Say, can any of you outstanding examples of erudite, telling-it-as-it-is bigotry tell me how much money per student our Government puts into 'private' Christian schools that have mandatory Christian theological lessons?
Aww, I'm so hurt. Rather than trying to argue against me, you're voting me down. You know, that just hurts my feelings so much, and makes you seem like such intelligent individuals. It's truly humbling.
wow what has the world come to. What ever happened to freedom of belief, our basic human rights? so what theres scio schools? theres also muslim schools and Cathlic schools. As far as I know scientology is against Drugs and Psychiatry. Thats enough for me. The report was very unprofessional and bashed the religion on the supporting evidence of an annonymous photographer. I'm an Athiest, but somtimes the media make me sick in the stomich.
@Markymarkymark100 Scientology is not a bastion for anything good. Scientology force people to have abortions and split from their families, and is guilty (convicted) of international fraud. They are just a criminal money racketeering operation with poor saps at the bottom, and this school was to be a money raiser and "sap farm" for this criminal organisation. Nothing to do with religion, its a dangerous cult anyway. Public, regular joe scientologists havent got a clue about any of this of course
The problem here is that the photographer, Flora Sullivan, a scientologist, was presumed to be a self-evident scientologist simply because she was taking photos. More journalistic follow-through would have removed that obstacle to debate by revealing who she is.
I disapprove of scientology's covert strategies. But that doesn't mean every single scientologist is amoral any more than scientology's critics are de facto SPs. Many scientologists are good people who don't realize they're victims.
@Emmness: Identifying the issue doesn't imply unrealistic expectations of a mainstream news entertainment program. What it does suggest is this: Either TT knew and didn't bother to report it, or didn't know and assumed so based on behavior. The first case is an oversight. The second is an act of prejudice. Even though the reporter was right about her, he was wrong to assume so, just as scientologists are often wrong in calling others SPs.
I don't think anyone cares if she actually turned out to be a Scientologist.
The Problem with it all is that their assumptions are made with no thought put behind them. They assume that, because she denies being a scientologist, then of course, she is one. It's bullshit.
@anexr; while i dislike the religion, it's still a religion and although i disagree with it, i respect that others have different beliefs. Why don't you try respecting something sometime?
@Emmness It's really not a religion. it was started as the "modern science of mental health", because a popular self help book, then became a "religion" to avoid paying tax in the 70's.Its a scam, a cult, a fraud, a lie, and a danger to society. it infiltrates governments, even the UN for christ's sake, and all *because* of the tolerance given to it as it's a "religion." It SELLS the very same "teachings" to corporations as "training" so it can exert more influence as an organisation in business
By the same token many 'orthodox' religions shouldn't be allowed to be tax-free. Christianity -according to its scriptures- requires a tithe to be paid to God, which is fundamentally the same concept as selling your teachings. To the concerns people raise about deaths etc. the predominantly Christian-led Holocaust as a historical example, and the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian sectarian violence in the Middle East as current examples blow them out of the water.
I mean, we're talking a few suicides and alleged murders versus September 11, the bombing of Lebanon/Palestinian Apartheid, the Holocaust, murders of abortionists, the list goes on. How is Scientology more dangerous to society at all?
Do a death count between all religions, per religion, per year, as well as the cost of those religions and a couple of other things. I fucking dare you.
The woman photographer was Flora Sullivan, OT VIII scientologist, and one of the people involved in the planning of the $1M mortgage scam. Her denials were complete lies.
your a piece of shit you fuckn stupid scientologist your just wasting your savings on stupid brain washing classes....your even worse than shit itself
We shouldn't have schools with a slant towards any particular religion, anymore then we should have schools with a slant towards a particular political ideology or economic policy: Like Communism or the Labour party.
Schools shouldn't be legally aloud to slant towards a particular ideology, they should just be secular. Allow kids to make up their own mine, and don't indoctrinate them, using tax payers money to make things more annoying.
Used to live a one minute walk from that school. Great to see a Scientologist barricading themselves in my old Milk Bar. My mate also alleges she is his boss's wife but I can't personally confirm it.
Well xenu, really just xenu. xenu xenu xenu xenu xenu xenu if NOT ONLY that whole thing does not put down the whole integrity of scientology then we're fucked/
WoW! Flora Sullivan! Another SUPERHUMAN OT VIII. No doubt, a PRODUCT of $cientology. She's so serene & enlightened, isn't she?
The very top "tone level" in their Emotional Tone Scale is "Serenity of Beingness." Flora? You have a long way to go. On 2nd thought, you have a short way to go; for OT VIII is THE TOP of the Bridge(tm) After that comes the ABYSS, when *you* step OFF the bridge, or jump or are "overboarded" lol And you come
Bush Scilon says: "I'm a local and I'm watching you watch someone else."
A Scilon in hand is worth two in the bush. Very elusive creatures. And just don't ask 'em about Xenu.
New Scilon tech is introduced: Make the ear circle crazy motion, when asked questions by members of the media. That will show the public you are an enlightened being.
Always funny when a $cilons says that THEY feel harassed. They make pictures or others, follow them around and then THEY are the harassed ones. LOL fail cult is so fail.

And how is naming this person going to to help her get out of the cult and all? I'ld like to know beacause to me, this looks like further victimization of the victim. E.i. she's trappe in a cult and the real world is full of stalker. Get a brain.
She's a perpetrator as well as a victim, intimidating the reporters doing a story on how Scientology is using a school to scam the government out of $1 million. Just because you are a victim does not give you immunity from victimizing others or lying to reporters about your identity.
You're right in theory of course, but by attacking individuals, you give credence to the idea the the sea org is at war. Your fullfilling the propehcy, so to speak. That was used in Wacco too.
She lost immunity from public scrutiny when she decided to hide behind bushes and take pictures of reporters to intimidate them, then lied about it when confronted. She made herself into news. Maybe public humiliation will lead her to thinking a bit more about what she is doing, and hopefully realize that she is a pawn in Miscavige's war on the world. I'd love to know her reaction when she gets blamed by Scientology for screwing up: maybe it'll be the last straw, and she'll blow?
Well if you think public humiliation ever achieved anything, I suppose any further discussion is totally vain. I can tell you from experience that all it does to SO is strengten their resolve. But by all means do you'r thing, that's ok.
Typical scientology move, spy on people the run away like children and go "LALALA IM NOT LISTENING I CANT HERE YOU I DONT HAVE TO LIVE IN REALITY!!"
