@hahahehe123 its not uncommon for a guitarist to use different guitars for different songs. I have an Austin that plays very nice for acustic songs and bass, but I like my Warlock better for electric and some higher acustics.

they are both awesome, don't compare them, they play different genres!

I agree most of Petrucci's solos are just some sweeping shits, but watch for The Best Of Times solo... IMO it is the BEST, yes you read it right, the BEST solo ever has made...

Anyway, he's an amazing riffer but his improvising sucks...

Andy Timmons plays real instrumental rock! Much different from progressive metal...

@bakkersyx ignorant statement. petrucci is by no means "nothing". i will get bashed for saying this on an andy timmons video but he is a better guitarist than timmons. I love them both and Timmons is without a doubt stunning, but not quite as good as petrucci.

Andy is such a true master of his instrument! He has control over speed, emotion, everything. His new record is probably one of the greatest guitar accomplishments in along time, considering theres only one guitar track on the whole record. Do yourself a favor & on all of his stuff!
