I don't see why Quote couldn't be a SSB character because Cave story has appeared on Wii and DS so its not like its a game unhosted on Nintendo platforms. + He'd be awesome with all sorts of weapons. Maybe his shield could be a bubble from the bubbler :P

Sonic was mainly on sega and sony consoles yet he was allowed into ssbb. Just because of the occasional game appearing on rival company consoles it isn't going to stop the character being put into the game.
