So, when she asks for more information on the sperm whale at the abyss, where am I supposed to find it? I have swam around and inside the abyss during day/night with and without a partner and not found it!
Oh man... I had SO much trouble with the abyss in the first game. Couldn't stand to move away from the floor once I got to it. XD The abyss in the second game isn't as bad, but it's still creepy.
The Abyss is scary because it is real... it is real, it is dark and cold, because man is capable of going down there... and because all these things that can kill us exist.
Now would I play this game? At first in the nice sunny areas, perhaps.

Finding a sperm whale down there seems to me like hiring a 45 ton bodyguard with a cannon-like head that can stun a squid with one boom. And it can eat a squid or shark alive. Biggest thing in the abyss is an obligate carnivore and they don't hunt humans but they do attack everything that does? Sounds like a safe exploration to me.
How do I find the whale in the deep underground? Here she appears only swimming and is not necessary to help her. (PS: I already finished the main story)
@TTGOFFICI4L lol, I know all of dat but, when I play games, most of the time if the graphics are good (like this game) I usually pretend it's actually me O_o so when I go into a dark area, I sorta get nervous even though it's just a game >_< and when I say I pretend it's actually me, I mean not purposely, my mind just kinda does O_o

I have now found the squid. I have all the facts about it. It appears only at night in the abyss. What I do is I go to Crystal Cave. When I see the megamouth I turn around and go out when I get out the whale is turning around. Then I go to the whale`s right and I see the squid.

I separated them out by the partner number, name, and species. I took them down there as a reward. and each time on the way down... I saw the humpback whale and her calf. I call the sight a symbol for good luck. It turns out that it is true. O_o

Ok so If anybody need help for giant squid here is how you have to find it: go to abyss at night and go 105 m. deep (don't know how much is in feet) and look around at the bottom of F5 to H5 and he should be swimming there If anybody find him with my help reply this that I would know
The Giant Squid (I called him Peri) is cool, the abyss is my favourite place in the game. I can find my way very easy because I know that place so well. The creatures don't scare me, and the Risso's is one of my dolphins. BTW did you guys know that in the morning or evening you can see the sperm whale and squid at the same time? I have pictures of them swimming next to eachother ^^
I know when you can see the Sperm Whale and the Giant Squid together. You can see them together at night. I would suggest waiting for them to appear at one of the ends of the Crystal Cave. The Risso's Dolphin is one of my partners too. ^_^

I often swim side by side with the Giant Squid and the Sperm Whale. When near the Sperm Whale, I play the underwater whistle, and I pet him. I do the same with the Giant Squid, except for the underwater whistle part. ^_^
I do, too, have a lot of underwater friends! I especially love ancient mother, and my leopard shark eggs!!! I also love swimming through green gardens, and the cave!!! The white room is my favorite! :)
I cannot wait till I can play EO2 and meet a whole bunch of new ones! Especially in the swamps and the polar waters. Though my shark friends may not be so friendly in this game!
I like to be surrounded by the darkness it puts off. Makes me forget all of my fears, my worries. And its VERY calming watching the inhabitants swim off into the darkness. ^_^
And here is the funny part... I used to FEAR the Abyss because I was not yet used to the inhabitants, and not used to being IN the darkness, so it was once rare for me to go down there at all. XD
That is so true!!! I used to be terrified of the abyss because of the darkness, and I wasn't able to see a lot of where I was going. But now, I enjoy going there! It's like, your surrounded by darkness... And it's just you so it gives you time to think about stuff. It's a great therapy session!
One of my favorite friends there is the Megamouth shark in crystal cave!!! Also, when you dive in the daytime and look up to the top, you can see a beautiful light! I got a picture of it!

I went through the Abyss with flying colors! I got my bearings straight right off the bat! Oh, and I saw the Giant Squid too!
My diver name is exactly the same as before in EO1. I just played right through! I'm at the Cavern of Gods (the final level) in TWO DAYS time! I really wanted to see the Abyss so I just played right through.

I've been kinda wanting to get it, but never just wanted to buy it randomly... Now that it comes with it, that makes everything SO MUCH BETTER! This game just keeps getting better and better. They really did an amazing job at remaking it!

I was right on the story line. And I mean BIG TIME. I was lucky enough that I knew where to go on the Cavern of the Gods. There is a part where a LOT of whales start ramming the temple. And you have to get out in 10 min or less. O_O
But I'm in college again... So it'll have to wait till early may. Sucks we never got to dive together, but there's still the summer. I still have to beat the story!!! Haha
I used to be freaked out when Kat wanted me to go down there, since the squid always came out in front of me. But luckily (as I was told and haven't seen it at this time) it only comes out at night.
The abyss was indeed, god damn scary. Before you've even entered it, i was crapping myself as you approached it, and the eerie music started...Nice job replacing it with this rather upbeat tune :P

I wasn't at all scared. I noticed my air tank was starting to get low and I wanted to get back to my boat from deep valley. So... I hitched a ride on the sperm Whale after a LOT of petting. ^_^
Of course, that would only be true if it were a colossal squid, giant squids don't have hooks. But the one depicted in this video looks like it has them.

to find the name of a fish that runs away from food and whitle use the pen and just shake the wii mote around(i recommend yellow)in about 11-15 seconds you will here a loud sparkle(the 1st time it tells you the name and the 1st facts.the 2nd and 3rd time it only unlocks facts)

Where did you find the squid after the first time? I found it in Fiend's Cave and then it said "Oh, wow you found the giant squid... some people go their entire life without seeing one... blah blah blah." Then it zoomed out and it wasn't there anymore.

Okay this game is a little unrealistic. If a diver went that deep to where a /giant squid/ is hanging out, you'd be crushed within seconds from immense pressure. O_o

Tip: I turn my brightness right up when I goto into the abyss it makes it more visable
Tip 2: its just a game nothing is gunna hurt you.
Tip 3: you only need to goto the abyss once at night use a guide to collect everything so you only need to go once!

TWO? That's gonna be great! Unfortunately I don't have any money to buy the game atm, and I won't get any money soon. =( Case of bad planning. And all the fish stalk me too, that's so funny.

I love it when the fish stalk you! Haha they follow you around and it's like you have multiple partners! I cannot wait for EO2 either!!!! I'm in college currently, but once I'm back from my spring break... That game will be in my hands. How did you meet all your friends? I only have one that lives nearby me, and we play all the time!
But it's such a great game.

My friends are the inhabitants of the Abyss. ^_^
I feed them, draw pics when they are close by to impress them, and so much more!
I often swim side by side with the Giant Squid and the Sperm Whale. When near the Sperm Whale, I play the underwater whistle, and I pet him. I do the same with the Giant Squid, except for the underwater whistle part. ^_^

I do, too, have a lot of underwater friends! I especially love ancient mother, and my leopard shark eggs!!! I also love swimming through green gardens, and the cave!!! The white room is my favorite! :)
I cannot wait till I can play EO2 and meet a whole bunch of new ones! Especially in the swamps and the polar waters. Though my shark friends may not be so friendly in this game!

But I can see where he'd get scary... Especially in EO2!!! Because then he can actually attack you!!!

The Abyss is my therapy doctor. ^_^
I like to be surrounded by the darkness it puts off. Makes me forget all of my fears, my worries. And its VERY calming watching the inhabitants swim off into the darkness. ^_^
And here is the funny part... I used to FEAR the Abyss because I was not yet used to the inhabitants, and not used to being IN the darkness, so it was once rare for me to go down there at all. XD

That is so true!!! I used to be terrified of the abyss because of the darkness, and I wasn't able to see a lot of where I was going. But now, I enjoy going there! It's like, your surrounded by darkness... And it's just you so it gives you time to think about stuff. It's a great therapy session!
One of my favorite friends there is the Megamouth shark in crystal cave!!! Also, when you dive in the daytime and look up to the top, you can see a beautiful light! I got a picture of it!

About 50% of the time when I see the vents on it sends a chill up my back for some reason. XD

Good to hear!!! I couldn't resist so i took a peak at a video of the "abyss like" area. And saw the sperm whale and the giant squid!!! They were, hugging! Haha
But I would love to go diving!!!! It's always fun to dive with other people!!! I don't have a Wii speak yet, but I'll be looking into it! And as for my guess...

I went through the Abyss with flying colors! I got my bearings straight right off the bat! Oh, and I saw the Giant Squid too!
My diver name is exactly the same as before in EO1. I just played right through! I'm at the Cavern of Gods (the final level) in TWO DAYS time! I really wanted to see the Abyss so I just played right through.
The Abyss is more like a cave this time.
I got a picture of the Aurora Borealis yesterday!!

I've been kinda wanting to get it, but never just wanted to buy it randomly... Now that it comes with it, that makes everything SO MUCH BETTER! This game just keeps getting better and better. They really did an amazing job at remaking it!
I plan on making my character the same, though my character is a female and I am a male, but that's what I started with.. So I'd like to finish with her haha. Can't change things like that! I can't wait to see the new Abyss!

You can finish the story line in two days time if you zip through. It can take three days if you take your time or get stuck.

I was right on the story line. And I mean BIG TIME. I was lucky enough that I knew where to go on the Cavern of the Gods. There is a part where a LOT of whales start ramming the temple. And you have to get out in 10 min or less. O_O

I used to be freaked out when Kat wanted me to go down there, since the squid always came out in front of me. But luckily (as I was told and haven't seen it at this time) it only comes out at night.

the abyss is freakier when you play it at night i once used the whistle to find the sperm whale and it didnt come and when i turned around it was right behind me it scared me so bad xD

I wasn't at all scared. I noticed my air tank was starting to get low and I wanted to get back to my boat from deep valley. So... I hitched a ride on the sperm Whale after a LOT of petting. ^_^

to find the name of a fish that runs away from food and whitle use the pen and just shake the wii mote around(i recommend yellow)in about 11-15 seconds you will here a loud sparkle(the 1st time it tells you the name and the 1st facts.the 2nd and 3rd time it only unlocks facts)

Where did you find the squid after the first time? I found it in Fiend's Cave and then it said "Oh, wow you found the giant squid... some people go their entire life without seeing one... blah blah blah." Then it zoomed out and it wasn't there anymore.

Okay this game is a little unrealistic. If a diver went that deep to where a /giant squid/ is hanging out, you'd be crushed within seconds from immense pressure. O_o
