  • DO YOU LADIES HAVE SHOES ON THIS TIME? WHY HMONG GIRLS ALWAYS DANCE WITHOUT SHOES? WHAT'S WITH HMONG GIRLS?

  • that is not nkauj hmoob usa!!!

  • @freaky1gurl1

This is the First Nkauj Hmoob USA. This dance was recorded back 11 years ago. So, what ever group call the same name must have been more recently.

  • I LOVEEE THISSS DANCEEEEE

  • do you have the other dance to this group. It was the sword dance. Pleases post it up (; thank you i would appreciate it

  • My all time FAVORITE DANCE! (: now this is what you call dancing the teacher is from china knowing she would get paid to teach kids how to dance but she is hmong

  • love the choreography...knowing that yes a chinese lady did teach them for dummies who did not kno

  • @kavue85

The lady is not Chinese. She is from China, but her ethnicity is Tai Lue.

  • @niamtxiv

Niam Txiv, she is not Thai Lue. She is Hmong Suav. I hired the Thai Lue you talked about to teach for me too, but not this dance. She then decided to hold her own dance class for the last two years, but her dances looked truly more Thai Lue dances.

  • well lets say this is great choreography knowing that only that one chinese lady is the one who taught them. so yeah. love it

  • well lets say this is great choreography knowing that only that one chinese lady which i would like to say is my aunt. is the one who taught them. Love it

  • MINNESOTA.............too much chinese dancing it's boring me.......

  • Whoaaaaa.Hehe I always come back and watch the GOOD OLD TIMES!!

I miss this song and the girls.Shut up people who can't really say anything in

reality but on the net okay.Have the peace.

  • TATS ALOT OF DANCERS.....

  • great video.

  • ugh...y do dat...

  • awesome, one of my favorite dance to watch when i was younger :)

  • this dance is awesome i give this a 1 infinite to this dance though it nice and i like the song too

  • i this in MN?!

  • Yep it is. River Center 2004 New Year

  • qho taught them this dance?!

  • Mee Vang/ Gui Mei Vue

  • oh i see the one that teaches

    nkauj ntsaub nrag nab?!

  • @hersheeyxiong so do know who teaches this group?

  • where do these girls find the time to get together & learn? Do they get pay for dancing? I heard their parents paid the trainer $50 per student per day, .......that's a lot of money for one day of training............20 girls x $50 per student equals $1,000 a day...........no wonder?

  • It would be nice if it was $50/ day but it's actually just $50/ month...in which that is really cheap compared to professional prices. Dancers do get paid but depending on the situation.

  • i believe that it is MN

  • this is the most beautiful dance i had ever seen. i wish more hmong girls would make beautiful dances and not those hard butt shaking ones.

  • Gesh This is one Of The BEST DANCE EVER!

  • Hehe I Love This Dance And Song!

  • well to me it is so boring

  • this seem old...wat year is this

  • haha..it says the year in big numbers in the back.

  • By far..one of the greatest performance in my opinion=)

  • yea i come on here too..

    we're doin good..

    how about u?

    how u doin?

    wow its been long...

    hehe..:P

  • Minnesota girls taught by Mee Vue

My sister & i dance with this group.

    This dance was a while back;

Now its all about flipin' and stuff.

Still love this song & dance!

Miss them girls & goodie old days!

  • omg!!! yea i danced in this group too!!!...i dunno if you would remember me but my younger sister is niena and im amy...i loved loved this dance!!! too bad somebody screwed us over when it was time to announce the winners huh?? we got so mad back stage...everyone was so upset...do you know anyone who has the video of us dancing to the kung fu song???

  • hey this is mai chia...i dont know if you remember me but i dance in this dance too..and i have the dvd to this dance and the kung fu dance...

  • i was in this group...

well hope u girls r doin well...

    i miss u girls..

    keep up the good dancing!!!

    :P

  • wow i didn't know that you guys come in here too..this is alaya by the way..how are you guys doing?

  • pretty good and very different from the usual. i'd gave this two thumbs up.

  • i see pang...

  • Beautiful ladies.

  • really good!!!

  • From MN

  • this is so raw!

and always will be. i remember seeing this like YEARS ago. && it's still so entertaining. =)

  • w0w!!

    everything l;o0kz so pretty!!

  • i cut too many part off for a reason... if you see the whole dance would be much better. There is only one dancer left from this origital dance team. All have left, some to college, some.... but best of all, no one married yet.

  • The best dance I've seen in years.... very great!

  • wow gotta add this to my favorites...

  • wow...i really like this...i like the costumes and the dance and basically everything else...although there are times that they could've done better...but overall it was great...the song was excellent...it was kinda long...but there wasn't a second that it would bore the audience...

  • The dances are good, but one thing I have to say is why the dancers don't ever smile. It's boring when people dance, don't smile, and it just ruin the whole thing of performance. You smile to show that you enjoy what you do, and if you enjoy what you do people will enjoy watching you as well.

  • i miss this dance!!

  • this dance is not even a hmong dance or chinese dance. it's an ethnic dai dance from yunnan sipsongbanna.

  • wow...this dance is really good. i like it a lot...did someone teach them this or did they teach themselves? anyways...GOOD JOB!

  • My dance teacher name

Mee Vang she is very great

    teacher in me and others.

  • my cousin...there she is

  • do they have an actual dance teacher teaching them or was this self-taught? it looks really nice.

  • Yes there

    is a teacher

    teach this dance

    to them.

  • wow u guys r so good

to bad i heard u guys quit

    how old r u guys?

  • Yay, that's my wife spinning the umbrella up at 2:50-3:10. Hahaha, she's so cute lol.

  • aww this is nicee [:

  • omg this is such a nice dance...ya keep it up...i like it...

  • This dance is so beautiful!

  • man....

  • Hey, somebody down the pages said that the teacher for this team is a "thai Lue". she/he got it wrong. the trainer of this group is "Wang Gui Mei". Wang Gui Mei was from Guangxi province, China.

She has taught more then 1,000 students since 1999. Her team won first place competition from Hmong Minnesota New Year, Riverside Center ever since 1999 (except 2003).

  • hey zajlaugwu if u know so much about these kind of dances can u please upload some of there dances and maybe other dances too because i am a fan of these dances!!!!THANKS!!!!

  • Yes, I know because I am Wang Gui Mei's join trainer/manager. Our current training site is at the International Market place. Yes, I can upload more dances, but simply don't have the time.

  • THANKS!!!!!

  • Hey zajlaugwu are you going to upload new videos besides the videos that you uploaded already

  • please be patience. i will upload more in a few days (both new and old dances). kind of very busy preparing kids for the new year event at this time. but thanks for asking.

  • I remember reading somewhere and it stated that Wang Gui Mei is of Tai Lue Origin and she brought with her traditional Tai, Chinese, Vietnamese dances.

  • yes, i will. just don't have the time, especially at this time of year. kids are training hard for the coming new year event. i will post more after the saint paul new year.

  • Thanks thats all i wanted to know. Hope you guys win at the new year!!!!!

  • Mee's dance groups, starting from 1999 had won first place once every year except for 2008 and 2009. Therefore in 2003 Butterfly did win first too, however it was not first in MN because they couldn't compete bc the judges/ commettee wouldn't let Butterfly compete due to giving other groups chances to win. So, Butterfly went to compete and won in Fresno, CA. This was also the first year (2003) that Sunshine first came out too.

  • wat's up with all these hmong girls dancing in chinese?! this stuff is getting too old and out. the hmong traditional dances are cuter AND better! hahahaha....

  • @melkoob what is a hmong traditional dance? the ones that are inspired by the laotian culture, thai culture, indian culture, American pop culture, or what? How do you define a traditional hmong dance, because i obviously don't know.

  • @kabvang well look at all the miao vids and dances of all hmong documentary that displays cultural dances inof the hmongs in vietnam remote areas of laos and old vids documenting hmong life and this is an ethnic dai song p[layed by a hulusi flute

  • @melkoob

This dance was recorded 11 years ago. So, please no complaint.

  • hey can someone please give me the title of this song. i really want to know.

  • This song is called "Peacock Dance" have a good time finding it though. I like this version that they dance to the most. This is the more traditional version. The versions that I hear most often now days is a more modern version and is not as pretty.

  • This is the current "ntxhais Yaj Yuam" 2007 winner from the Riversite Center.

  • i dont enjoy watching hmong dances, but this one was actually nice. i like the music. can somebody give me the title?

  • wow this is actually good!umm...i wish we have this much peaple dancin in our group....but rite now we dont dance cause we have no one...but we will come out one day!

  • If you think this is many people, wait.... come to riverside center (st paul) this coming Hmong New Year.

This team combined the "little princesses" and becoming the biggest team ever in Hmong dance history - 30 dancers. Youngest? 5 years old, oldest? 17 years old.

  • ouais, elles sont plutôt bonnne (j'veut dire par la en dance bien sûr non mais bande de pervers!).

  • Dam every time it's always hmong girl dancing~!

Gosh what happen to all the guy's dance at? I guess back than it's just the old flute and the long flute and circles kekeke

  • If you want to see hmong boys dances? check with "nkauj Ntsuab Nraug nab" team. they wond first place last year from the Minnesota Hmong New Year dance competition at the Riverside Center

  • Everytime I watch this dance I get all emotional. It was done so perfectly. My niece is somewhere in the group... Great job!!!! *kiss*

  • damn they all look hot!!

  • i really like this dance, the music is great, are they still dancing, i hope this group stays strong.

  • i dont know if this group is still dancing because alot of them quit...and i'm one of them...i dont even want to quit...i miss my dance group....

  • oh it give me goose bumps

  • Tai Sipsongbanna??????? it's unbrella dance?? well, the dance coordinator is a Tai Lue.... she married a Hmong.. bringing along her chinese, vietnamese and other ethnics dance influences... OKAy....

  • Sipsongpanna Tai is an autonomous region in China inhabited by Dai (Tai Lue) people. I guess the author of that post meant to say that this dance originated in that area.

  • Wow!_! they are so cool^_^ I miss danceing now T_T

  • Hey,

This is Tai Sipsongbanna "Umbrella Dance" haha and it is performed by Meo (Hmong) haha. It is all cool though.

  • yah, i can say, they good too... i mean, it seems like the stage does not fit, but it did too... their umbrella is tight too... oh and their outfits are so lovely... but they should smile more often b/c they look too concentrated... overall... i love it TOO!

  • I REALLY MISS DANCEING IN BUTTERFLY

  • Very Beautiful, the music takes me to the happy historic days of Hmong. Here shows some true talents

  • this is too sweet!! COOL!! the best I have EVER seen for real!

  • That was beautiful. Proud to be Hmong!

  • very pretty. :)

  • They are cute. I think so too ONE OF THE BEST HMONG GIRL PERFORMER.

  • OMG! that was gooood!! ^_^

  • damn...soo many of them too..they can still do a good job too..nice job girls..

  • They are good !!! It's the best dance performance i have ever seen, good job girls !

  • Wow! they all are going the same way too...great job

  • Very lovely! I loved it and how there were so many dancers and so much movement! Beautiful ^_^

  • well at least they're dancing and not doing a whole bunch of backflips...

  • This is one of the best choreographed dance i have ever seen! Wow!

  • I know the first 3 girls and the far one on the righ that came out first...they're all church gals...

they're so GOOD!!! good friends too!

  • this is very cute... this prove that hmong people can actually do well in usa...

  • beautiful outfits

  • wow....i lyke ur dance move n ur outfit ish kute...

  • you see! is hmong special? yes we are right? we can do the most every things like the world do too. I love my hmong ppl.

  • bravo!@!!

  • this is the best dance i had ever done...too bad i'm not in it any more...how sad...i love dance too...

  • wow...beautiful and very talented...i love the outfits...

  • 17 ladies are hard to keep in rymthm sync, so I gotta give them credit....its one of the better larger groups I seen so far, but can be improved. I give it an "A-" here

  • that was soo beautiful... LUVVV IT!!

  • beautiful outfits. the dance was so graceful. love it. =)

  • I love the skirts, where can I get some?

  • I'm sure you can get it at the hmong store or new years.

  • well...the skirts were hand made..so i guess you can get it anywhere...

  • wow..this is the most hottie hmong new year dancers i've ever seen soo koo and talented..hehehe...nice organization and nice uniforms....very kool...

  • I like these kind of dances more. The current ones are all about the flexibility. That's kinda lame. I say drop all the flippings and keep the graceful movements.

  • im so in love with MN now

  • The hmong dance that we are use too is actually not ours we addopted it form the laotions when we migrated into Laos in the early 1800's. Don't forget that we originally are from central china. So actually this is more like our dance should be. Remenber from there point of view they have not change but it is us who have change in the last 200 years.

  • um..I could say it's pretty nice but some parts the girls aren't going together which is not good..

  • I've never seen anything like this before, atleast not at the New Year. Video got kind of boring, but creativity is always good.

  • watching this gets me in the new year's mood all over again, can't wait!

  • its nice....very lovely. well, tho' some may oppose to this dance style, we did originate from china. its funny, when we dance to nplog, people complain too. wth! lol.

  • wow, it looks so professional. What kind of camera was used to film this? I need to get it for my Dad since I broke his. Man, was he pissed.

  • This video was shot from a Canon XL1.

  • hey what's the song called? i really want to know who sings it.

  • heh this is tiffany!!! damns

does krissy and franchesca still dance..

  • im sryy , but this song is totally gay!! im 4 point if ur wondering...imma dancer 2 in point.......u might noe who meh group r.wel bye..........

  • um.......i guess its not really hmong dance but wat ever...

  • hmm... honest opinion.... not the greatest.... it would ahve been so much better if it were little girls running and jumping around instead of grown adults....

  • LOL...little girls running and jumpling around instead of grown adults? Kidding me, grown up is so much better especially when it's a big group of girls dancing like this. Little girls are cute but I would rather watch teen girls dance like this group better.

  • cool dance video

  • umm..it wasn't the best, but it was 'alright'.....

didn't watch the whole thing though..*yawns

  • hrrm Wow nice, I wanna do my india dance now!

  • Too bad James & Gui Mei are ripping the parents off!! Don't you know these dances are copied from chinese vcds?? That's how they make a living...from cheating & lying.

  • Would you kindly upload the chinese vcds that you talk about? Since you claim that the dance was just copied.

  • Here's one that they copied for 2005-2006 new year. The song, the costume everything is the same except for a couple of flips here and there.

  • You sure this is the one they imitated from?

  • This is the most recent one they copied (2005-2006 new year @ River Center). The other ones are old vcds. Even this one is old. I bought it in 1999.

  • What's your point here?

Why are you thought of that? Because their did something to you in the past?

  • Just letting you know what's up. But if you want to get screwed then go ahead.

Fyi-I have nothing against the kids, just who's teaching them.

  • who r u aniwaise..wat did mee do to u?

  • well just to let you know that website of your does not work so quit saying that butterfly copied not unless you have proof!

  • Nice Dance.

  • Yea, love this dance. Have any of you seen hmong dance india style too?

  • i'm...i'm....speachless

that was very good (2 thums WAY up!!)

  • Mostly hmong dance are now more Chinese dance but still look great

  • Not really. It's more of a Miao-Chinese dances.

  • i love this song...does anyone know where i can get it?

  • i think what caught my attention and held it the most are the umbrellas. it looked so cool when it's opened and closde it.

  • hey! it's those flexible little dancers!!!

  • wow.......it was so professional

  • WOW!!!!!!! The music sounds very nice and calming...Good job dancers!

  • I've seen them perform many times and they're always awesome!

  • did you guys go compete anywhere else with this song??

  • Yes, they did.

  • I love the groud flute.. its just so breath taking..............
