If you put the Si and 300C on the a curvy back road the Si will handily kick the 300C's ass all day! The 300C corners like a yatch! Its because the civics to new, and its a MAJOR price difference. You can take 28,000 (including buying the car) and have a 94 civic that will beat almost anything you would find on the street. Now take that same 25,000 and put it towards the 300C, and you have a stock 300C vs a 25,000 dollar honda? that 94 civic would DOMINATE that SRT8 even in a "Drag race" (straight line).

I own a 2010 Si, and I have no regrets buying it, its a fantastic car for the money, and LOTS of fun.

I dont find the Scion TC very attractive, and the 240SX never came turbo'd from the factory. Stock vs stock the Si is faster than both of your cars. If I was to turbo a new Si, im sure it would be faster than your 240SX...BUT, RWD is cool, I get that.
BTW the S2K is only a tad faster than the new Si's.

Not in AMERICA but in JAPAN AND EUROPE, it does. the 240sx came turbo'd with either the ca18det or the SR20det. ca18 had 174 hp and the sr20 ranged from 205 to 250hp. Stock to stock, the SI is slower. how do i know? b/c ive raced them.your argument? u just assume.
@7m28 i am not hating but the tc is crap. It has the 2.4 camry engine which much can not rlly be done to. Stock, it is a pretty slow car and my dad's 04 camry is limited to 122 or else it might hit 132 without it. The limited si is faster than the camry anytime, lol. Now if the tc drives anything like the camry then it is a boring car all around and it just looks a little nice but that's it. The civic's are impressive and can be modded to high hp and stock, they are as fast as some v6 cars.
@7m28 even the new 2.5 liter tc is crap. It is just a camry engine and they were never made to be fast; they were made to last long and carry people and goods. The 2.5L tc is barely faster than then older ones and is not that fun anyway. A civic can always be modded and vtec sounds great revving it up to 8500. Not hating on the tc but compared to the civic, most would say that it is boring. Your 240sx is probably fast tho and u should mod it. Vtec or lift is always better than tc's anyway.
@SempronGamer and wooooow. s2k is head and shoulders faster than the SI. not only does it have more horsepower, its lighter. Weight comes in as a huuuuuge issue when it comes to speed. You should do some research and your homework before you talk, man. For example, a car with 190 can be lose to a car with only 170 if the 170hp car has more torque and is significantly lighter. Horsepower isnt everything. Only ricers just assume things b/c of brand names and bias. Your SI is slow.

Man that HEMI lost you guys in the Civic. The new SI's are very impressive tho. A huge step up from ALL previous SI's. The 5.7 cars are just quick. I raced one at the drag strip that had nothing more than a CAI and Predator tuner with 93 octane tune. He ran consistent 14.0 @ 100 mph on stock tires.

Difference between the 2 cars is that the 300c can easily cruise at 200kph without breaking a sweat whereas that japcrap struggles like hell to reach those kinds of speeds.
That "japcrap" walks on that heavy american fatass in every category other than straight-line pedal mashing. I trampled an srt-8 with exhaust on the DH awhile back in my Si. They're clumsy and sluggish.

Anybody who know anything about cars knows that power means nothing in DH races. In fact, having a big engine is a huge disadvantage (as this srt8 driver found out) because it is a useless block of dead weight that increases your braking distance and makes your car turn like crap, not to mention that the srt-8 already has the steering ratio of a truck. You'll figure all of this out when you're old enough to drive and not just looking at which car has more displacement.

the new civics have a shift lag. if you take it into the dealer, an have them re-map the entire car. its takes the governer to about 145ish mph. i have a 2007 si. with a t3/t4 turbo, 70 trim. an many other upgrades. but thats not the point. either way, you give your car to a computer geek an bam no govener.

You should be more careful who you call a retard. Even fully stock that 300c doesn't hit it's regulator until 147mph. You claim you were going 120kph (sure didn't look like it) that's only about 124mph. The Chrysler...stock...had more to go if he wanted to. You "won" because he wasn't racing you moron.

Anybody who know anything about cars knows that power means nothing in DH races. In fact, having a big engine is a huge disadvantage (as this srt8 driver found out) because it is a useless block of dead weight that increases your braking distance and makes your car turn like crap, not to mention that the srt-8 already has the steering ratio of a truck. You'll figure all of this out when you're old enough to drive and not just looking at which car has more displacement.
