It amazes me that for the whole program they have been demonstrating how the mind can be retrained or used to retrain parts of the body, how meditation can effect our physical and mental health, YET they are still looking for a drug to do it!!!!
What's wrong with scientists? -they think backwards!
And yes @gjljhjb1 - if they really want to give drugs to people with pain or suffering from alzheimer's they should give them good naturally grown Jamaican weed!!!
phantom limb syndrome treatments also has a lot to with plasticity...simply by using mirrors...to trick the brain that the limb is still there, and one can actually learn away pain associated with phantom limb syndrome.
This is a brilliant series of videos. I've put them on my blog about non drug ways of dealing with chronic pain. My main interest is in neuroplasticity and using brain retraining methods such as mirror therapy, YNSA, meditation etc in this pursuit.
...and also, thanks for uploading this video, it is really interesting. :)

Yes there are drugs out there that work. The name is clean Food!
Get out the toxins and heavy metals and get in your vitamines, minerals and aminoacids.
To support brain activity use: Ginkgo, Rhodiola, Ginseng etc. etc.
The best and effective things in life come from nature and don't cost millions.
