To me that summons attack is like a tribute to many other summons, like the missile attack is like Alexander off FF8, The ultra laser is like Tera Flare from Bahamut ZERO off FF7 and the out of space explosion at the end is FF8's EDEN just without it blasting off into a black hole.

Aw crap full party in FF XIV just for one summoner to get Ark... but each missile/beam does 9999dmg and people possibly but rarely gets armor and weapon drops similar to ark parts. That would be awesome. For example, rare 1/64 possibility drop (like the Adamant Armor of Final Fantasy IV?) of a sword/javelin looking like that laser cannon thingy of Ark's that does good damage, but when used as an "item" does that nasty laser thingy for multiple attacks (1/12 chance) or one big laser [=. Dreams.

yeah i agree with the people who said summoning ark was inconvenient. it was way too long and only inflicts 9999 of damage. while you can use thievery, freya's skill and other simpler attacks that deals the same damage.

but truly if its not only for the 9999 limiter it would have done a hell of a damage. like eternal breath of eden in ff8.

i noticed that whenever this summon is summoned when i play it allways has the same backdrop when it zooms out to the surrounding countryside, it should have been different, if you used it in the mountiains it should be mountains, while if you used it in the desert it should be in the desert ti is should become a sea of glass or moltain rock. while near the ocean it should be ocean followed by one hell of a title fire and title wave.

A difference in speed between the PAL & NTSC versions, NTSC = 60Hz while PAL = 50Hz, it's why a lot of people don't like doing excalibur runs on the PAL version, but yeah he could've also sped it up by emu. I thought for the amount of missiles Ark shot, it should've been a multiple hitter, all that work just for an eidolon that hits once for 9999, when thievery, frog drop, dragon crest, shock & even basic attack can reach that damage, let alone Vivi's abused reflect multiplier & double magic.
