  • I hear ya... and too many FINISHED projects as well... Ive watched over 30 of the finshed ones:) I will keep searching maybe one of these days you upload one thermal narrated live!

Thank you re: 3D animation info.

    Fly safe.

  • Beautiful NM. Honestly this vide touched me man. I am learning to hang glide (14 tows up to know...). I watched all the real and live sound vids, amazing... REALLY helpful. But in this camera angle I see you move and the wing react plus... the tunes are too good for the scenery. Fantastic job.

I would have loved to see the landing in those conditions tho... what happened?

  • @zwawe Thank you for the feedback! I landed near a freeway turnout in Daggett. A gas co surveyor was working the site when I came in for like a 200 yard long ground skim that he caught on his digicam. I never heard from him so I never got his video. I had to run out the landing in between bushes but it was nothing to write home about.

  • @NMERider Actually thank YOU for posting these videos! Cant wait to be up there.

I got a suggestion, maye in your next narrated video you can describe what you feel and what goes on while on a thermal.. I see a lot of movement, a lot of action.. but I still cant pinpoint which movements are yours and which are thermal. I dont know if this is possible but I will certainly pay close attention. How about a narrated tow? Here in Paraguay we dont have big mountains so towing is the way to go. Cheers

  • @zwawe Thanks. I've worked on several narrated thermalling technique videos but never got them fully edited. Too many unfinished projects. :-(

  • cool

  • Totally beautiful video, thanks for posting it. I think I would be a little scared to try it, BUT it's so awesome looking. What peace you must feel while you are up there, just you and nature, it must almost be like being in God's presence.

  • @RedBeardTattoo Thanks. I've been hoping for a long time to capture images like these and broadcast the experience so others can get a sense of it too. I hope to create more immersive experiences with time and practice.

  • @RedBeardTattoo It's funny but I my experience runs the gamut from terror to awe to boredom to delight to joy to laughter and occasionally a little taste of satori.

  • Great !!

Such a FIX when business traveling and unable to fly!!

    THANK YOU

    JP

  • @35394691 Nothing wrong w/ vicarious flying amigo!

  • You da video man!!....I am speechless....such quality!!

  • @35394691 Thanks. I will have another desert video posted overnight tonight. The new one will go over the back from Garlock to Boomer Ridge at the South end of the Sierra Nevada.

  • As far as I can see you are using a GoPro camera. How do you adjust the cameraposition without a viewfinder or monitor?

  • @wolkenbummler The GoPro HD FOV is so wide that your aim does not have to be perfect. Practice helps!

  • Beautiful music and scenery, a contrast to sunny skies. Good job, Jonathan; Seymour thinks the videos are so good that you should sell/ charge for them! Marta

  • @wbpartist Charge? Ha! I'm lucky if some 'pays' me a compliment. Thanks, Mom!

  • Is Blackhawk mtn. run through a certain assn./club?

  • @shorbmountain No. It's just there.

  • @ 10:03. what is that you hit? How can you tell the difference between rough air and the edge of a thermal. Thanks John.

  • @shorbmountain At 10:03 I flew into a wind shear. There was strong sink on the other side and I got drilled. You can't always tell rough air from a thermal's edge. Yesterday was one of those days. Some days the thermals have smooth edges. There so much to learn it's never boring.

  • The top mounted camera is a great idea. Seeing the wing and around it is cool. This view, the helmet view, and the wingend view are my faves of yours thus far. Some folks have a nice "Butt-view" or "look at me" view, which isn't that appealing. thanks again for posting all these.

  • @shorbmountain What? You don't like all the "Plumber-crack-cams" or "See-my-big-schnoz"-cams?

  • @shorbmountain

    I agree. Thanks NMERider!

  • I´ll save this one til the HD is ready mate :) Nice "desertly" music tho :P

  • @KBruto Thanks. That's one of the tunes I was listening to while driving home.

  • the best

    visual magnifico

    the fly in espirit

  • @regidelta Obrigado! Please watch it again in a few hours when the HD version has been rendered.
