This is almost irrevelant... seriously it is. Anyone who has any basic knowledge of malware would know that its a fake scan. Also, most (if not all) antivirus solutions would almost certainly quarantine and/or erase a dangerous file like this.
The only ways you could really get infected is:
1. You have little or no knowledge of computers and malware and you have no idea how to protect yourself.
2. You have no virus protection which is stupid, free solutions exist. (Avast, Malwarebytes, etc.)
@kingdaniel41995 1.- Microsoft Safety Scanner and 2.- SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner. use them together in that order and your OS installation should be able to recover. both are portable programs that don't need to be installed or even be in your PC hdd.
I assume those saying "only a fool would fall for the..." don't have mothers or grandparents that are freaked out with the simple "windows live mail has blocked the images on this message" and don't know what to click. Same ones that wouldn't notice they got redirected to another page and would click the first button that seems to offer help cleaning up viruses... not everybody is as "computer-savvy" as YOU (using encyclopedia dramatica's definition of YOU here).
