Wow people get the sticks out of your butts, it's not like he claimed to be super-great or is playing in front of thousands of people passing himself off as the next Pavarotti. Looks like just a local "for-the-heck-of-it" type thing. Gee whiz! Chill out. Anyways, I thought you sounded fine. Just because you don't sound like one of the few opera greats does not mean you shouldn't have fun singing what you enjoy, ignore the haters, because I'll bet they can't sing it any better than you.
Oh, thank you very much for your nice thoughts! Yes, true! I don´t sound like Domingo or Careras! I really enjoyed singin´it! Thanks for your support! ;)
That's the problem with opera and any sort of classical music, there are too many hoity-toity self-important snobs who think that no one but super-professionals should be allowed to enjoy themselves through music. It's really stupid. I say to them, if the average person can't just do music casually for fun, then they also should not be allowed to do other things, such as golf for fun, cook for fun, do archery for fun, anything. Just because they aren't the absolute best at it. Ignore them.
You only have one life to live and it's fairly short, I say if you enjoy something do it and just keep practicing and don't worry about what anyone else has to say, they're just insecure in themselves.
Ok I'm just gonna say it. You were wrong to sing this. Utterly and completely wrong. The only people MORE wrong were the one's standing to clap for you. This piece is not only outside of your range of skill, (evident in the fact that you modulated about six times), but was WAY out of your range. I'm guessing that's why you chose to undermine it by taking it down almost a full octave. Nextly, you are not a tenor. A tenor could have at least performed that in the same key area.
Oh, come on! I have never said that I was a professional opera singer, besides I know that I should work up more. It was just for fun and the kind people over there are supporting me which matters in fact! I recommend you to be kinder to those wanting to learn and to do the best. If I sing this song now, I know I could sing it better. By the way, believe or not, I AM A TENOR! That´s not what I say, it is what the authorities do! I know I could have sung it better! But it bothers only me!
Is this a joke? Tons of intonation issues, and it's sung in a key so far below the original that it's hardly the same aria. This is a mockery of true art. I would try to offer some constructive criticism, but am not quite sure where to start. I could start with the lack of support, bad diction, and maybe seeing if you could handle the actual key (which goes up to a high B at the end by the way). The good comments and standing ovation only serve to show how ignorant the general population is.
Hi there! It is hardly a joke but it was just for fun! I know I am not perfect but I´ve been on the improvement! The population is no way ignorant. They are very kind, that´s all!
Cute eye ;-) This is awesome! Just as good as I remember it... actually better... because this time I can hear the second half over the cheering :) and, of course, it was amusing seeing so many of us at the table at the end of the vid.
i could sing in this key while eating a sandwich resting on a couch. just saying.
