It is true that the new iPhone will have exchange (For an extra $15 on your data plan) and Cisco VPN. But there is so much it is missing. Apple doesn't make it easy for companies to make their home grown apps. Apps have to be approved before you can deploy it and then it has to be bought through the app store. I do hear they are making a way for companies to get around that, but I'm sure it will come at a huge cost. The point is there is no phone that is perfect for everyone.

My current plan has the same stuff + 100 minutes and is $53 less than the iPhone plan. Not that it matters to me; my work pays for my phone. And don't say, "But they have visual voicemail." I give you the 3G comment, cause that was stupid on my behalf, it's a feature offered by the service not a phone feature. However though, since when has not copied anyone? Any corp copies others, it's just Apple copies and reinvent the UI to make it look new. Don't get me wrong, I like Apple, and I plan to buy an iPhone, it's just kinda stupid saying that people are copying Apple, when apple does the same thing to others.

It's important to realise that parliamentary documents like the Patriot Act have, in fact, eviserated many parts of the US constitution. There are also cases where US tech companies have been made to hand over database information to the government.

Not true. The government issued subpoenas for database information regarding search queries totally unrelated to the Patriot Act, and while Microsoft, AOL, and Yahoo complied, Google held its constitutional ground and refused, and moreover ultimately prevailed in court and was not required to produce the information as requested in the subpoena. Had Microsoft, AOL or Yahoo done the same, the government would have never received any information at all.

Apple's SDK is out in February. Most of the apps running on the hacked iPhone were written by Google coders, literally. No small coincidence.
There's more going on here than meets the eye, and it's not going to end up being Apple vs. Google. In fact, just the opposite. ;)

The touch screen ohone they used was made by HTC, you can see the part of icon at the top at the top at certain parts of the video.

Compared to the iPhone Android's UI looks like poo, but it's the evolution of the software that's important. iPhone has a very deliberate yet slow upgrade evolution while Android's will be fast and dynamic. Apple's advantage though is its integration whereas Google is a patchwork quilt of software. The introduction of Android will polarise users into either style nazi purists (Apple) or frontier cyber-anarchists (Google). A terrific dynamism will come from this.
