I was lucky enough to see Elton and Ray in 1979 at the Northrup theater in Minneapolis. I was just 14 years old, it was incredible! I still have the program and my ticket stub, it cost $12.50 quite a bargain. I'm so lucky!
about 20 yrs ago bought elton johns tape then from russia was awesome still have it brilliant artist love this song felt l was at his concert even though never did he is powerful
Elton wasn't allowed to take his whole band into the USSR, he had to make do with one. So he chose Ray Cooper, who manages with percussion to fulfil all the roles. Isn't this amazing?
@Scarveface He toured with Ray, just the 2 of them, elsewhere too, both at that time and since. Great combination! This was like the concert i saw with them at Manchester, UK; Elton solo doing ballads first half, then Ray appeared out of the smoke and it rocked
