I've played all STALKER games but this one, and all of them are good, albeit a bit clunky in the movement department. Also, from my experience, STALKER games are far from Fallout 3. The graphics are slightly similar, however, this series plays a bit more realistically.

I love the look of vanilla ShoC. It's got just the right mix of detail and grittiness. The immersion factor is like nothing else ever! The graphics and sound are a feast for the senses.

@NotificationReceived It's grittier than Fallout 3/New Vegas. The weapons feel more real. Well, the revolvers and lever-action rifles (and shotgun) in New Vegas as awesome, but in general, STALKER weapons feel more...weapony. Probably because you're not relying on character stats to get the job done.

Im used to playing great games with amazing graphics: Crysis , Farcry 2 etc... When i got this, i was dissapointed. Then, i downloaded a few mods and this game became breathtaking. I FUCKING LOVE STALKER!!!... This game comes with a great story line as well as an immersive environement. So when you combine the original content with free downloads it becomes perfect and you dont need to pay shit: Artist Pavel complete patch , god rays mod, Atmosfear weather engine. Thats it three things wow...

But still, this is not a nerdy game >:( It has a lot of action, but a lot of slowness too. I hate geeky games like StarCraft 2 or WoW, but I love this one. It's seriously underrated. You have to eat to stay alive (even if you have health), and you can even get yourself drunk (being drunk helps to avoid getting radiated for some reason).. It looks breathtaking when you're walking on the grass drunk at night!

My god you guys are stupid. Of course its bad graphics on a 480p video. I have the game and on this video you cant even see the god damn text. And of course you can see the text in the game. And maybe this looks crappy to you, but its just because the game have chosen a more realistic image instead of an eye candy image. And you can see the god damn pixels! You cant see them when playing the game.
