I've also noticed that here in the U.S. ambulances have taken a lead from the UK and started putting reflective chevron stripes on the rear. I like it, I think it makes them a lot more visible.

@wvd1979 No. Most Brit-Pol motorcycles have battenburg pattern and the Officer is white helmeted and hi-vis jacketed.

So how many cereal boxes did you have to open to get the " I'm a first responder expert badge"? The longer the distance the greater the time it takes to get from point A to point B. Throw safety into the scenario, and it takes a little longer to arrive. What good does it do them if they "haul ass" and crash, then you die. Though, based on your grammar, and spelling I assume Darwin's theory would fit your situation a lot better, if something was to happen to you.

I was expecting a hi-lo siren. This sounds identical to the ambulance sirens in the U.S.

Because they are lol. The Hi lo is hardly used anymore, Fire service use it more, look up Fire Appliance Run on youtube

But LAS Ambulances don't use strobes, they use LEDs, I think :S

@KooKas2oo8 LAS used strobes on the older buses. At the moment they seem to be running quite a few of the old ones as the newly designed ambulances seem to spend more time on the back of tow trucks!! The new ones have LEDs
