so why is it that no bank, business, or any place in public has these quality of security cameras? it's all BS like it only records every 5th frame? like this is amazing quality compared to the shit on everywhere else.

WTF! Goddamn all you legal prosecutors, cops, judges who are trying to convict this man. I hope, pray & wish that someone tries to kill you and then you can stand there and try and negotiate with some psychopath or call 911 for help.
Traitorous bastards!
Fuck that! If your life is in danger DEFEND YOURSELVES at all costs!
Our laws need to CHANGE....& the prosecutors need to have neuro-psychological assessments.
Mr. Thomson's trial should be paid by the dumb wit CROWN Prosecutor as well as the policemen who charged him with the absurd charges. We the taxpayers do NOT want OUR TAXES spent of costly trials to prosecute THE VICTIMS.....USE YOUR OWN MONEY not ours!!!!!!
If this was my house, the call to 911 would be this:
There are people throwing firebombs on my house. Send an ambulance while I defend my life. I don't think I have time to wait for the police before they kill me. Bang Bang Bang. OK problem solved. Don't need an ambulance. Send the hearse.
Now a carefully placed shot that took out the glass molotov cocktail in his hand would have solved this. He would get burned by his own device and one could simply call it a "malfunction of his criminal act" .
Mr Thompsons only mistake was to not shoot at 3 center masses...until they no longer moved. There is no question of the fact that a 911 here would be useless nor is there a question of firebombing a house not being an act that would cause one to fear loss of life. This govt. is stupid.
As a Canadian, the only right you really have, is to be a victim... At least this is what our government thinks... Only in Canada do criminals have more rights then victims... excuse me while I throw up, as the truth is making me sick.
Canadians want to change the current 'may issue' ATC permitting process to a 'shall issue' ATC permitting process so that they can defend themselves and their loved ones with a concealed defensive side arm anywhere and anytime they are threatened.
But seriously, the homeowner shouldn't be charged for anything. They were very aggressive in the attack and throwing that shit at his home. Wtf was he suppose to do? Throw waterballons at the attacker!
they clearly werent there to just scare him, they tried to burn him out of his house and you could tell by the anger in their voices they planned on fucking his shit up when he came out. he should have shot all of those motherfuckers and dealt with the consequences later. would have been 4 less degenerate pieces of shit in this region
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
still no excuse to take the law into your own hands instead of calling the police like you're supposed to do. If you act like a criminal, you should be treated like a criminal.
@mrbubetube Hey dumb ass! If you want to sit around while some tries to kill you, then society is better off without you. The only people who don't want anyone protecting their person & property are the scum who do this shit. Clearly, you're one of them!
@mrbubetube Yeah, you're right, he should have called the police and patiently waited while he was burned alive, or come out of the house so they could assault and burn him easier... btw are you mentally challenged or just the product of generations of inbreeding?
Canadians, look up Bill C-60, The Citizen's Arrest and Self-defence Act. I'm not holding my breath though. My home has been vandalized and there seems to be nothing I can do about this as the criminals laugh and get away. If this does not change, the law says that Canadians CAN terrorize homes and destroy property without fear of retribution, so why not join the bad guys? If we, too, became masked firebombers, we could be invincible -- unless, of course, you guys put a stop to this.
I don't give a flying fuck about the law... I'm only 17 and have NO legal access to weapons and yet I've been threatened with breaking and entering as well as assault and murder on me and family members... the cops said not to overreact -_- people have attempted to break into my house and the cops told me that I'd get fucked if I did anything about it and it would be worse cause I'm a minor... id someone was throwing molatov fucking cocktails at my property, I wouldnt hesitate to KILL THEM!
@rrtodd95 Allowing Sharia Law in Canada is the same as Government sanctioned terrorism. If they allow terrorism in MY country, those LIEberal fucks won't be able to run fast enough or far enough. 17 million gun owners are going hunting.
Legislating morality not being possible? The left does it all the time. Hate crime and anti-free speech laws come from a moral view that one can't criticize race or sexual preference. Gun control laws and laws stripping away your right to self defense come from a moral framework that says private gun ownership and self defense are bad and only the state should be in the business of using force to protect people and property. I find the morality imposed by militant secularism to be intolerant.
Is it legal to lay scurrilous charges against a citizen in Canada? If not, I want accountability. I want a suspension pending investigation and possibly dismissal and charges against this prosecutor.
I want to support the police. I want to believe the best in the Djikanski case. But if cases like this stand, even I will want heads to roll in the RCMP.
He should have shot them DEAD. Not only does that solve the problem permanently, it goes to state of mind. IE: Fear for his life.
The "unsafe storage" charge is so the government can't be sued.
The assholes (the CP) are NOT running the country. That is why it is important to contact you MLA, MP, MPP, etc and let them know how you feel about this shit when it happens. Take power away from the bureaucrats.
I would have shot the first asshole I seen holding a burning bottle.. The other 'warning' shots would have been for the two that weren't dead yet..
We are supposed to have the constitutional RIGHT to security of the person. The police have NO legal mandate to protect ANY individual. They don't even legally have to respond to a 911 call.. The 'Clown' prosecutor withdrew two charges when it got to court, but left the bullshit 'unsafe' storage charge to continue the harassment..Disgusting..
From NP: “If the public are wondering can you run out of your house and [fire a handgun at an intruder], the bottom line is, according to the laws of Canada, no, you can’t,” said Constable Nilan Dave of the Niagara Regional Police Service, which charged Mr. Thomson. “That’s why the courts are there, to give a person an opportunity to explain their actions.”
Constable Dave, you lying fuck: if you were firebombed, you would shoot to kill and call it righteous. Your life is worth no more than mine
I too would have fired "warning shots" but those "warning shots" would have been used to warn the ones that weren't dead yet. .. There is NO WAY, ANYONE should have to face what Mr Thompson is facing. The charges against Mr Thomson, are a DIRECT result of McGuinty's decree to the police, that when ever dealing with a a legal firearms owner, lay as many charges as possible, and take all the guns. So, even in the face of what was obviously happening, Mr. Thomson was charged, and left undefended.
How sad. The left is making Canada a rotten place to live, at least if you are a hard working and law abiding citizen. I wonder what the Crown Attorney would do if some nut was throwing firebombs at his/her house?
LOL!!! Clearly you don't know me, nor do you know what the heck you are talking about! First off, I haven't been on my butt for a long time. I've been an activist for about half of my 43 years of life. I've ran in 3 elections myself and have actively helped out in about a dozen federal, provincial and municipal elections.
@Heliox18 Our government may be conservative by your standards, however our country as evidenced by our high taxes, speech regulation, socialist medicare, gun control, etc.... is clearly on the left side of the spectrum. For the record our "Conservative" government with it's high level of spending and support of homosexual rights and abortion, strikes me as being left of Tommy Douglas.
@BillWhatcott To say that Harper is left of Tommy Douglas says you don't have a clue what you're talking about. The Conservative Party does not support gay rights or abortion - they just don't bring those issues up because it would be political suicide.
@CptSchmidt Well maybe I do know what I am talking about. On the homosexual issue it was our so-called Conservatives who gave a $400,000 grant to Toronto's Sodom parade in 2009 under the auspices of the federally funded Marquee Tourism program . Of bigger concern in the Conservatives refusal to reign in pro-homosexual human rights commissions, who routinely persecute Christians in Canada who disagree with homosexuality.
@BillWhatcott Wrong again. The government is apolitical and cannot grant or refuse funding based on party ideology. Public servants (the people who work in the department of finance) are non-partisan. It was not the Conservative Party that granted that funding.
@BillWhatcott To say otherwise demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of how the government works. Disagreeing with homosexuality is one thing, denying the rights of LGBTs is a tenet of Christian ideology, which is discriminatory. Discrimination and hate speech are illegal. Your so-called 'persecution' is not persecution at all, it's not allowing one person's medieval ideology to interfere with someone else's. If you don't want gay marriage, then don't participate. It's that simple.
@BillWhatcott It's time for people like you to get with the times. Come out of the woods for a little while and lock up your gun. Read a book. You idiots allege to preach a life of peace and harmony yet all you do is insult and belittle anyone who lives differently from you. Take a step back and look at yourself, at the shameful and disgusting person you are. Ripe with ignorance and rotten with faith. A backward fool with a narrow self-indulgent view of the world. Educate yourself.
@CptSchmidt, I did not insult anyone. I see a few insults you hurled at me: "disgusting, rotten, idiot" etc... I will reject your definition of "free speech" and "hate speech." Disagreeing with homosexuality on public public health grounds & moral grounds (I freely admit my Christian faith informs my moral points of view) is far from ignorant or idiotic or hateful. To the contrary moral disagreement is exactly what free speech should protect and I will continue to say homosexuality is harmful .
@BillWhatcott That shows again your lack of understanding and that your beliefs are based in ignorance. There is nothing unhealthy about being homosexual and morality is subjective. If you were educated on the subject you wouldn't hold backward and oppressive views. Moral disagreement is fine, but if you oppose someone ELSE from living another way just because YOU don't like it, that's unacceptable. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean everybody has to. You can't legislate morality
@CptSchmidt Actually I worked as a home care nurse for six years in Toronto's gay district. It's a statistical fact homosexuals to this day make up the majority of HIV/AIDS cases even though they only make up 2-4% of the population. Syphilis, hepatitis, anal warts, anal cancer, substance abuse, psychiatric problems, etc.... are also rampant in the homosexual subculture. Therefore when one states homosexuality is unhealthy they are not speaking from ignorance, they are speaking a provable fact.
@BillWhatcott Your ignorance knows no bounds. You do not understand that STDs amongst gays has to do with concentration and not some inherent unhealthiness. When you have few people (1/10) practicing homosexuality and in that group there are STDs it's obviously more concentrated. 9/10 straight people are just as susceptible to getting an STD as a gay person, it's just distributed more.
@CptSchmidt First off 1/10 people being homosexual is a pro-homoseal researcher's widely debunked myth. Stats Canada only found 1.7% of Canadians identified as being homosexual. Rampant STDs and AIDS amongst homosexuals has to do with anal sex and multiple partners.
@BillWhatcott No, it does not. It has to do with the reasons I've already given you. As I have already said, if you'd educated yourself with real facts and research with reputable and modern schools of thought you would know all of this. Also, straight people tend to have more partners throughout their lives than gay people do as it is harder for gay people to identify who their partners can be.
@CptSchmidt On the abortion issue, the Tories have a number of pro-aborts, with solid pro-abortion voting records, in cabinet, such as Jim Prentice and Josee Verner. Stephen Harper himself voted against "Roxanne's Law," a bill designed to protect women from being coerced into getting abortions by their boyfriend, or family members. Tommy Douglas had a far more limited vision for government funded health care than what we have today.
I believe he used restraint. Knowing full well that the Canadian "justice system" for lack of a better term, sides with criminals 9 times out of 10, he did what was needed and no more, to protect his home and himself from these filthy cockroaches.
His lawyer is confident that he won't do any jail time, but it's simply reprehensible that the issue is even brought up. That's how screwed up our country is.
@xNeptuneRisingx Maybe he was protecting himself from tax authorities about to steal his home? I'm not a criminal, but I'm in the same boat, with security cameras everywhere and a fast action plan in the event of a raid. Property rights in N. America are under heavy attack. First they tax you out of your home, and don't expect any resistance. Well, I'll give them deadly resistance. Whatever this guy is, I stand with him in his right to fight back against any attacker, even the police.
This video has convinced me that the only way to deal with criminals who trespass is to kill them, then dissolve their bodies in acid and dump the vat in the lake and never report it.
@dmosier I'm fairly ignorant of Canada's gun laws. I do know you are allowed to have them, but there are some tight restrictions, licensing, fees etc... could you clarify so we have the facts (or at least for my own education)? Furthermore, I've been told (by another Canadian) that Canadians don't have the right to free speech, is this true?
@DannyWilsonsLaundry Christ taught us to love the sinner and hate the sin. It's better to pity those people rather than rejoice at their downfall. IMO
Liberal gun politics threaten our very existence and the freedoms that we enjoy today. If you give these obese house wives with too much time on their hands an inch they will take a mile. Canada is proof!
This is pathetic! And enraging! Hey everybody!! Hey all you Obama lovers!! This is liberalism in action. Protect the criminals and prosecute the victims. These two thugs should have been shot on site. I feel quite ashamed to live in a country that prohibits self defense. What a shame.
We Americans MUST NEVER give even ONE SINGLE SHRED of our gun rights away or this will be something that you and I and our children will have to deal with. This is SO INSANE that I cannot even remotely come up with any defense to the canadian laws regarding this even if paid a million dollars!!! There is NOTHING right about the property owner being punished in anyway for defending his property, family and animals from these SICK TWISTED THUGS!!! America, DO NOT GIVE ONE SHRED OF RIGHTS AWAY!!
this is fuckin bullshit you dont put a victim in jail
this is fucking absurd, and they are worried about a war on cops, ill tell you right n ow, if i was the man, those molotov bastards would be dead on the ground and the police would be lying next to them for trying to assault my freedoms by trying to stop my from protecting my self and my property
@dramey03 When the police act like criminals (as in this case, or in the case of evicting you from your own home for back taxes or eminent domain expropriation), the police should be dealt with swiftly and with the deadliest force possible. Every homeowner should have a full military cache of weapons, including mortar launchers, AK47s, grenades, etc. as well as gas masks and protective gear for himself and his family members and everyone should drill to keep in practice. The Communists have won.
An emotional topic... While you can call the authorities and report this terrorist act, they likely will do nothing more than ignore you (since you don't have oil on your land and no profit for corporations). But as soon as someone threatens your life by deliberately throwing an explosive at your home, while being inside, as you have an inalienable right to life, defending yourself with deadly force is justified. Charging the homeowner is an injustice, I commend him for not shooting the punks
@DannyWilsonsLaundry You would not be righteous if you were laughing at damnation while standing in heaven. I don't disagree with your politics, but your rhetoric betrays you. Your name is great, live up to it (Daniel).
The fact that that man even owns guns proves that he is a violent person and probably provoked the attack himself. You don't see those people using guns on him do you? No, they are using whatever they have to defend themselves, in this case petrol bombs. If I lived next to a gun owner I would be in constant fear of my life. It is a proven fact that guns owners go nuts and kill people, therefore they were protecting themselves from a probable threat.
Your a fucking idiot and a mouth piece for the gun grabbers. No one is buying you bullshit. He should have shot them in the fucking head dead, period, and hide the bodies. Your a fucking pussy and Anti American. It's ok for it to happen to someone else for you. Ya, you would rather the cops show up after your house is on fire, your child is burnt to death and you lost everything. Your a fucking moron. Why are you breathing my air?
@SnubbyJoe Might as well say just sit down and let the thugs kill you. It is actually scary how stupid people raised with leftist ideals are. Drink a little more of the kool aid.....
If you read the news artical relating to this vid you would change your mind. Now please go kill yourself and never act like this kind of person again.
There is no way this fellow will spend time in jail for defending his property the way he did. I'm not going to lie. Those assholes would be dead if they tried this on my property. Trying to burn a person's house down is tantamount to attempted homicide/murder. Justice will prevail.
@JRCrowley You can imagine how *I* feel when the police try to evict me from my house of 45 years (no mortgage) because I lack the income to keep up with their master's fiscal greed (rising property taxes). It's tantamount to murdering me, by taking away the fruits of the last 45 years I spent building my home. I know how this guy feels. The police would just arrest me if they could, but I told them some of them would die in the process, so they lowered my tax a bit.
@Amakisongs This attack would never have happened if he did not own guns. He brought it on himself by being a threatening neighbor. DO NOT LIVE NEXT TO GUN OWNERS, THEY WILL SHOOT YOU!!
@SnubbyJoe Hahahaha, they've proven that have they? Hmm... well I guess all Americans are screwed eh? I mean, a Google searche shows Americans own somewhere around 250 million privately owned firearms, and the population is only 300 million! Strange that none of the people I know who own guns (which is quite a few), including myself, have ever shot anyone.
@xNeptuneRisingx "Moron" He is retired and a former Firearms instructor. He moved into that house and was in the process of fixing it up. His neighbors chickens kept invading his garden and one of his dogs killed a chicken. That was six years ago and a feud has been running ever since. So these dumb ass hicks petrol bombed his house because one of their girlfriends sorry chickens was killed by a dog! He should of nailed at least one of the cunts then the police could charge one of them eh!
damn that sucks for that guy. How did they justify sending him to jail? Did he kill them or what? I'm American, and although I don't have that much trust in my system, I'm pretty sure that those fucks with the firebombs would gone for good.
@xNeptuneRisingx Just because you decide anyone with cameras on their property is a low life doesn't means shit. Knowing this now if you lived next to me you'd make me think I can't trust you even more. What happens on someones property other than your own is none of your fucking business.
@Faggotmcfag they dropped all charges except "improper storeage of a firearm" WTF? and to think that these incompetent assholes are running our country!
I would SHOOT TO KILL both of them. Them dying would give me more satisfaction then them facing the Canadian judicial system. Even if jailed, ill know in my heart I did the right thing!
So, thugs attack a home owner, and the government helps the thugs by disarming the home owner. Brilliant, the nanny state cannot have people getting uppity and defending themselves, that might threaten the .gov's monopoly on the use of force. The cops are dipshits for arresting this guy, as is the prosecutor. the judge is a double dipshit for not slapping them all.
New Hampshire Constitution, [Art.] 2-a. [The Bearing of Arms.] All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.
we could bring our jobs back from your country and call of NAFTA... that would raise the standard of living more to your liking here. Just a thought.
@aieoneoneeight So you think you're above Newton's first law of motion eh? Bullets kill many innocent people at great distances that were just fired up into the air. Point it at the bastard and clear the clip.
read the story; thomson grabbed his gun and fired three times at these guys; his life was NOT in danger, though the lives of his dogs were. his property was in danger, but not his life. also, he did NOT CALL THE POLICE but took the law into his own hands. it would be fair to grab the gun when you are directly threatened, but not because your yard is being torched. guy must be an asshole, and the neighbours are assholes, too, to let things go so far
you are a fucking moron watch it again they are fire bombing his buildings, his life was in danger, and even if it was not, those doing the fire bombing should be shot once the decided to enter onto his property, you must be a fucking liberal
@cruiscinlan You´re insane. "guy must be an asshole". Yeah and those people thrwoing molotovs are nice guys, huh. Why do people like you ALWAYS blame the victim? Does it make you feel strong?
@cruiscinlan hide inside and burn to death or leave the building unarmed and get beaten to death - nice country that you want to live in.
A reasonable fear of death or of GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM is cause enough to use deadly force to defend yourself.
His only real mistake was in firing warning shots. A prosecutor will point to that as evidence that he felt his life was not in IMMEDIATE danger. Would be better off legally if he had just shot one of them dead.
@cruiscinlan You don't think that having your house set on fire with you in it is an attack on you! or that your life is not in danger! What kind of wanker are you buddy? What would it take for you to feel like your life is in danger? Will you wait until you feel the flames against your skin? would you wait until someone has stabbed you? would you wait until you see the pin being pulled from the grenade? Man you must have some big balls! You must be the bravest man on the internets...
To all you anti-guns faggots here, when someone tries to burn you alive you can go bend over and ask them to stop, i would have done the same thing if thugs would firebomb my house.
The right to defend yourself and your property is a natural right. Just because this guy was prepared to defend himself, is no argument against his right to do it.
The CANADIAN JUSTICE system is One of if not the BEST on the planet and if you dont like it I suggest you leave! A MAN who recklessly started firing a gun and put more people at risk is charged yes, but even if he is found guilty he wont do a day in prison and at most 6 months probation. the guys who firebombed his house will be charged with attempted murder. im TIRED at Canadians Bitching about everyone and thing! the thing Canada gives the world most is pollution so bitch about that, useless
@ggqbc Sadly, the guys who fire bombed his house are only being charged with arson. The Canadian Legal System is far from perfect. Anything that would charge a man for defending his life is clearly flawed. Ian did not fire his gun recklessly, he fired it to scare off the thugs who were about to kill him.
@mmatt I never said it was perfect, no system is! i said it was one of the best. the numbers show it is. You guys want an american type law where you can fire on a kid who eggs your house and thats downright stupid! look at the USA! anyone who looks at the USA to make our nation safer needs a catscan! their murder rate is horrendous and wonderful cities like st louis and new orleans have sections where u probably wouldent even make it out of. We can tweak current laws really well.
@ggqbc I agree that parts of the US are rampant with violent crime. But if you look close, you'll also see that these places are the one's with the strictest gun control where citizens are not allowed to carry guns for protection. Some say that the concealed carry laws lower the crime rate, some say they don't. The bottom line is that we humans have the right to defend our lives against the threat of serious harm or death, and when the chips are down, the best tool for the job is a gun.
@civicnation4two Yes. Clearly two hooded men firebombing his house has two sides to the story. Those hooded men are obviously superheroes who were defending against this threatening man by going on to his property and scaring the living shit out of him and potentially starting a huge fire that could kill him and burn down his property. Definitely two sides.
And he's a gun collector, which is why he has many guns.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You have a 2 demensional view of the situation - the police arent stupid people and the charges were laid because of "improper storage" - in other words he wasnt a mere collector but probably loaded every gun with ammo in preperation for a war. Only Tony Montana or some military outpost in Afghanistan could rival this dudes preparation. To bad he didnt hire the cartel to aid him in his preperation for the invasion....
@civicnation4two I don't know if I should call you a troll or not, because doing so would relieve you of any stupidity in your comments. What does it matter if he has the guns loaded or not? He's in his own god-damned house. I can have fifty guns loaded in my house if I wanted to. He wasn't strolling around the neighborhood in his car with seven loaded guns, now was he? Anti-gun idiots like you piss me off just as much as conservatives.
@civicnation4two May I ask what is so wrong about having a good security system? And what's wrong with owning seven guns? I have owned over 30 so far. Does that mean that there's more to my story? I simply like guns and enjoy shooting them. I also appreciate the level of protection that they offer against situation just like this. Can you imagine what could have happened to Ian if he did not have his guns? There's a good chance that he'd be dead.
People do not come after you because they are looking to pass the time, bro. 99.9999% of people do not mount CCTV's on their homes and even less have that many CCTV's. There is a good chance that he will be dead in the future and the CCTV's will only broadcast his death for the benifit of Youtubers - I dont see how owning guns offers any protection. When you are a marked man the people coming after you will pick and choose the time of your demise at their convenience.
@civicnation4two I'm not sure if you are trolling, or if you are truely this stupid. You don't see how guns offer protection? Why don't you ask a cop or a soldier? Ask this guy who defended himself. Ask the people of mexico who are almost completely disarmed while the cartels do whatever they want. Ask the cartels who are running the show!
@civicnation4two You don't see how owning guns offers any protection?!? This is a perfect example of how guns help save lives. If Ian didn't have his gun, he'd probably be dead!
@civicnation4two Really? No guns, no CCTV? How about you put up a sign in front of your place that proudly proclaims: "GUN AND SECURITY FREE ZONE" and I'll keep my visible CCTV, alarms and guns and we'll see who gets robbed first?
The fact that SOME people take responsibility for their own safety must really bother you - even though you benefit from it - after all the crooks can't tell who will and who won't defend themselves. Unless you put up a sign, or the government disarms the public.
The government is allowed to fight a fake war on fake terrorism, but Canadian citizens are not allowed to defend themselves against direct acts of terrorism against themselves and their property. How is defending your life against masked assailants armed with incendiary devices illegal? The shots were not even fired at the assailants...
CANADA is more a police state then the US, at least they are allowed to act in their own defence.
It just boggles my mind that the Crown/Government/Conservatives are persuing charges against Mr. Thomson.

@Heliox18
LOL!!! Clearly you don't know me, nor do you know what the heck you are talking about! First off, I haven't been on my butt for a long time. I've been an activist for about half of my 43 years of life. I've ran in 3 elections myself and have actively helped out in about a dozen federal, provincial and municipal elections.
BillWhatcott 1 year ago
@Heliox18 Our government may be conservative by your standards, however our country as evidenced by our high taxes, speech regulation, socialist medicare, gun control, etc.... is clearly on the left side of the spectrum. For the record our "Conservative" government with it's high level of spending and support of homosexual rights and abortion, strikes me as being left of Tommy Douglas.
BillWhatcott 1 year ago
@BillWhatcott To say that Harper is left of Tommy Douglas says you don't have a clue what you're talking about. The Conservative Party does not support gay rights or abortion - they just don't bring those issues up because it would be political suicide.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@CptSchmidt Well maybe I do know what I am talking about. On the homosexual issue it was our so-called Conservatives who gave a $400,000 grant to Toronto's Sodom parade in 2009 under the auspices of the federally funded Marquee Tourism program . Of bigger concern in the Conservatives refusal to reign in pro-homosexual human rights commissions, who routinely persecute Christians in Canada who disagree with homosexuality.
BillWhatcott 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott Wrong again. The government is apolitical and cannot grant or refuse funding based on party ideology. Public servants (the people who work in the department of finance) are non-partisan. It was not the Conservative Party that granted that funding.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott To say otherwise demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of how the government works. Disagreeing with homosexuality is one thing, denying the rights of LGBTs is a tenet of Christian ideology, which is discriminatory. Discrimination and hate speech are illegal. Your so-called 'persecution' is not persecution at all, it's not allowing one person's medieval ideology to interfere with someone else's. If you don't want gay marriage, then don't participate. It's that simple.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott It's time for people like you to get with the times. Come out of the woods for a little while and lock up your gun. Read a book. You idiots allege to preach a life of peace and harmony yet all you do is insult and belittle anyone who lives differently from you. Take a step back and look at yourself, at the shameful and disgusting person you are. Ripe with ignorance and rotten with faith. A backward fool with a narrow self-indulgent view of the world. Educate yourself.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@CptSchmidt, I did not insult anyone. I see a few insults you hurled at me: "disgusting, rotten, idiot" etc... I will reject your definition of "free speech" and "hate speech." Disagreeing with homosexuality on public public health grounds & moral grounds (I freely admit my Christian faith informs my moral points of view) is far from ignorant or idiotic or hateful. To the contrary moral disagreement is exactly what free speech should protect and I will continue to say homosexuality is harmful .
BillWhatcott 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott That shows again your lack of understanding and that your beliefs are based in ignorance. There is nothing unhealthy about being homosexual and morality is subjective. If you were educated on the subject you wouldn't hold backward and oppressive views. Moral disagreement is fine, but if you oppose someone ELSE from living another way just because YOU don't like it, that's unacceptable. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean everybody has to. You can't legislate morality
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@CptSchmidt Actually I worked as a home care nurse for six years in Toronto's gay district. It's a statistical fact homosexuals to this day make up the majority of HIV/AIDS cases even though they only make up 2-4% of the population. Syphilis, hepatitis, anal warts, anal cancer, substance abuse, psychiatric problems, etc.... are also rampant in the homosexual subculture. Therefore when one states homosexuality is unhealthy they are not speaking from ignorance, they are speaking a provable fact.
BillWhatcott 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott Your ignorance knows no bounds. You do not understand that STDs amongst gays has to do with concentration and not some inherent unhealthiness. When you have few people (1/10) practicing homosexuality and in that group there are STDs it's obviously more concentrated. 9/10 straight people are just as susceptible to getting an STD as a gay person, it's just distributed more.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@CptSchmidt First off 1/10 people being homosexual is a pro-homoseal researcher's widely debunked myth. Stats Canada only found 1.7% of Canadians identified as being homosexual. Rampant STDs and AIDS amongst homosexuals has to do with anal sex and multiple partners.
BillWhatcott 11 months ago
@BillWhatcott No, it does not. It has to do with the reasons I've already given you. As I have already said, if you'd educated yourself with real facts and research with reputable and modern schools of thought you would know all of this. Also, straight people tend to have more partners throughout their lives than gay people do as it is harder for gay people to identify who their partners can be.
CptSchmidt 11 months ago
@CptSchmidt On the abortion issue, the Tories have a number of pro-aborts, with solid pro-abortion voting records, in cabinet, such as Jim Prentice and Josee Verner. Stephen Harper himself voted against "Roxanne's Law," a bill designed to protect women from being coerced into getting abortions by their boyfriend, or family members. Tommy Douglas had a far more limited vision for government funded health care than what we have today.

We can tweak current laws really well.
ggqbc 1 year ago
@ggqbc I agree that parts of the US are rampant with violent crime. But if you look close, you'll also see that these places are the one's with the strictest gun control where citizens are not allowed to carry guns for protection. Some say that the concealed carry laws lower the crime rate, some say they don't. The bottom line is that we humans have the right to defend our lives against the threat of serious harm or death, and when the chips are down, the best tool for the job is a gun.

my home doesnt have 5 cctv's and neither am i armed with
seven guns, five pistols and two rifles....like WTF? Neither do i have
people targeting my home and the like. We are only hearing part of the story - i sense that.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
You have a 2 demensional view of the situation - the police arent stupid people and the charges were laid because of "improper storage" - in other words he wasnt a mere collector but probably loaded every gun with ammo in preperation for a war.

If Ian didn't have his gun, he'd probably be dead!
mmatt 1 year ago 4
