  • He is the man dude!

  • too much white noise

  • Great way to teach, teachers should not limit themselves to recite a book or to just assign difficult and lengthy tasks.

  • that formule is just about priorities, isn't that hard, it's basic math.

  • He's obviously never coded in LISP.

  • Best description I've heard about top-down problem solving.

  • whenever i have a programmer's block i drink some Mother! xD

  • man this guy is great. My comp sci course starts next year and i hope my teacher is at least half as good as he is.

  • Brilliant, I'm going to watch through all of these at work.

  • shouldnt you....work at work.....wait, what am i saying, learning to program is much more awesome than work, good on you!

  • I'd prefer not to get into an argument, but I do feel the need to point out that IQ 155 isn't genius-level.

  • It is for some. ; )

  • @soundofgeek thats bull, IQ's of over 140 are generally genius.

  • @0121ryanh117:

en[dot]wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/IQ_reference_chart gives three different classifications of above-average intelligence ranges. All three agree with my understanding, and all three flatly contradict yours.

  • @soundofgeek Ok, I guess you're right, im wrong. I can't argue with evidence...

Really, my only argument was that telling everyone you;'re a genius doesn't sound very intelligent, although, Im sure that he is.

  • @0121ryanh117:

Looks like we agree after all - claiming to be a genius isn't a particularly wise thing to do, even if the claim is accurate (which I'm not sure of in this case)

  • Does anyone know if there is a way to get to that "Ask Bjorn" page that he referenced at the end of the video for the assignment.

  • The unsw website was removed in early 2009.

It doesn't matter anyway because the "ask bjorn" page was in a restricted (password protected) area.

Use english or spanish because its too tough to find in on viking speak.

    Just concentrate on the syntax.

  • Richard Buckland My most favorite lecturer forever. I still remember you after 8 yrs of time now.

  • Bottom up or top down approaches has nothing at all to do with functional programming or object oriented (OO). Get your facts right.

  • when u making functions bottom up u are slipping away from functional programming when u making functions from top down u are making classes abstractions and u are following OOP i know my facts they are right.. i been programming since i was 9 yrs old and im 20 now.

  • Don't call yourself a genius, Dorky.

I've been studying computer engineering since i was 5 years old

  • Yea rite...

    And also, lets end this.

  • Genius' don't post comments on YouTube.

  • i'm sure you would not alanzeino..

famous people even post on youtube.. when they find something worth posting.

  • gosh... sspoke, go back and invent strange explanations for magnetism und gravity ;-)

but you are indeed right with your oop - statement, IF you add the word: usually.

  • lol schlengar.. I actually hate oop layout.. functional coding is still my hobby and I will always use it.

  • @sspoke Telling everyone you are really clever doesnt sound like a very intelligent thing to say to me.

  • @HawttDawgg "I've been studying computer engineering since i was 5 years old "

really? Thats sucks. Did you not have a child hood?

  • Meh

  • @sspoke You think OOP is stupid? Genius!
