i feel like you sometimes kinda miss the point of Dr Manhatten - he doesn't see into the future, he doesn't experience time in a linear way - so he isn't seeing the future, he is living in the future.
Waaaay too much sex and gore. For the sex scene, i wish they would've just given me a hint intead of spelling it out for me. not what i look for in a movie. probably didn't help that i went with my mom, dad, uncle, lil bro (high school), and aunt. not the best crowd to see it with lol. but i LOVED the plot line, absolutely amazing. i didn't read the book beforehand, but by paying attention i understood the premise. interesting take on humanity and what a life is worth.
Hey! I LIKED Dark Knight! My dad thought it was "Kinda monotonous," but then, he thinks comic books/cartoons/anime is stupid.
Anyway: I agree, Watchmen was an AWESOME movie! And I hadn't read the book, but I was familiar with the plot before hand. And I thought the changing from the Cthulu stuff to... what it was wasn't as big a change from what some my think.
And I agree about the music. Especially how they chose songs that fit the scenes.
I agree with everything you said except for The Dark Knight. I would say The Dark Knight is #1 and Watchmen is #2 on The Greatest Comic Book Movies list. I personally haven't seen enough movies in general to make the jump to The Greatest Movies list.
I have to agree more or less. I'm not sure I'd say the movie is better, but I think it is the best adaptation possible short of a mini-seris. There were a few issues that I did have. 1- Rorshach killing the child killer. 2- The talk between Manhatten and Ozzy at the end(I think it should be in there, shows a bit of remorse and regret. on Ozzys part) 3- I think that Haley was just too awesome as Rorshach, I mean nobody should be that awesome of an actor. I'd give it a solid 9/10-10/10
...Although I do think the book is still better, what with some minor plot cut out of the movie and some major alterations to certain parts of the movie (I'm talking about how Rorschach killed the child-kidnapper, not the ending). The end of the movie was alright, I think they did a good job making it stick; I just feel like they could have done a better job with it.

Something you'll notice about the music, is that they picked ones that were mentioned in the novel.
Honestly, I thought the movie was okay; I like the comic better, but I suppose I could see why someone would like the movie more.

V for Vendetta is the best super hero movie ever. But I'm happy that, like V, Watchman made you think.

And as I say: It's rated R, and its justified
