If it had been produced in America, it would have cost five million and would have starred Mel Gibson as the father, Julia Roberts as the mother, Haley Joel Osment as Ali and Lindsey Lohan as Ali's sister. Also in America, there would have been at least three car chases and Ali would have been killed in the crossfire during a shootout between corrupt cops and drug smugglers.
