This (Always) was one of my father's favorite songs...I remember trying to croak this out as a kid listening to a record entieled..."The Most Beautiful Songs Ever Written." That album contained the first thing I thought of when I was informaed of his passing. The first line of "September Song"..It's a long, long while from May to December but the days grow short when you reach September. His health got bad in May, I moved him to Chicago in Sept and he died December 1. Lovely Irony, isn't it?
I remember seeing this on the BBC when it was first broadcast, and have been trying to get it on DVD for years. Does anybody know if it is available anywhere?
Harry was a vastly under-rated genius, and this album is a gem. Gordon Jenkins' arrangements are just perfect.
@japroctor Herllo...first why dont you ASK THE BBC? The yare the mos tinept calalogueing compnay in the world. They erased thousands of rare performanbces because the blank tape cost money. There will be no official release of this. NEVER. this is where it exists--YOU TUBE PONLY until the copyright owners fornce it off yyou tube..so enjoy while it is here.
Met Harry at a Beatles Fest about 25 years ago. He came over to meet us with our three year old. Great guy. As with John Lennon will always miss the music.
What a special find for me. Thank you for posting this wonderful video that I never even know exhisted. Such timeless, beautiful songs performed to flawless perfection.
Al parecer se salta una melodía que también está en el acetato original, que es: "Five little pennies", theme of a picture of the story of his author Red Nichols, but it's only a commentary. It's delicious to hear over and over all the arrengements of that genius: Gordon Jenkins.
Makin' Woopie" is soo fun! Great Nilsson and wonderful Gordon Jenkins arrangement!!

If you stream Netflix you can find a video that is named "Whi is Harry Nisson, And why are people talking about him.
I have watched it several times. It is worth the hour or so .

He had one of the most beautiful voices no one can sing these songs like Harry. I am so glad I met him in the 80's.
God Bless you Harry!
