Watch the condensation trail of the bullet in flight if you have any doubt about the range they're shooting from.
HD would be preferable of course but you can clearly see the con trail in most shots.
These ranges are shot regularly in NRA Highpower with iron sights. I've shot the 600yd course in North Georgia with an M1A (designated M14 in the rules/score cards). 600 yds is still considered a 'medium range' shot in Highpower competetion and uses the MR 1 target. Try it some time!
Personally I love how you can see the bullet travel...and for those who don't believe it's that far away..explain to me how the bullet drops as far as it does. I wish I had somewhere to shoot that far
WTF are you people talking about ? The "ping" you hear immediately is mike feedback from the shot, the plate shakes and the "thump" you hear....about 2 1/2 seconds later, is the bullet hitting the plate. Have any of you ever been ON a long distance range ? I'm only good out to about 600, but I have a few police sniper friends I have shot with who can peg 1000 meter shots.
I want to believe your video is real but your round is hitting way to fast to be that distance and unless its echo we are hearing and not the hit then its fake for sure. You sound of the hit is instant.
I'm curious - how did you capture the sound of the round hitting the target at 700, 800, or 1,000 yards, without any time delay? Sound travels approx. 1100 fps at sea level... so it should be taking almost 3 seconds at 1,000 yards to hear the impact!
I have done enough shooting and know people who shoot that I KNOW people regularly shoot as far as 1,000 years even a MILE and hit what they shoot at. Those are just jealous haters saying that it is "fake".
Just recall you guys that any kind of video is an awful judge of distance. I'm sure that a shot at a 1000 yards would appear much closer on video. Sometimes you just have to be standing there...
I once recorded me shooting my big .30 on video from behind at 800 yards and even I swore it looked like 250
The losers that say you're not shooting that far are people who think a rifle will only shoot 350 yards. Great vid and great shooting. One note I could make is if you frame the target toward the bottom of the screen you could watch more of the vapor trail without it going off screen but still great video.
good shooting, does any1 know anything about the remington 700 xhr... i havent seen any reviews on it and plan on buying one. it will be used to hunt during deer season and i like to do recreational target shooting during the rest of the year.... i will prob get it in .270
Id put my bank account down you couldn't hit a standard target with a full clip at 500 yards.
Oh look at that all computer videos... COD doesn't count home boy haha but I bet you felt cool writing that comment. When you put down the Xbox controller and can even handle a gun then post your little b/s comment.
i do not have a xbox HOME BOY but i do have a remington 700 in 7.62 with a 16x weaver scope and i have shoot at 600y at a moving targets when your at the targets you here a crack then a slite boom for down rage a 190 gr bullet will drop 48in at 600y i looked at your page a you are the one playing socom game
and your bank account will be gone in one shot for my remington or m1a1
Oh well good for you. So do I Remington 700 sps tactical and a remington 700p with a mcmillan A5 stock 24" sport barrel in 308 win 1/10 1/2 twist NF 5-25x 50mm custome tuned.. 20g shot gun.. MosinNagant in 30-06. Glock 17 9mm and a Beretta FS (M9) 9mm. So if you wanna have a dick measuring contest im game. When you hit moving targets 15 out of 15 shots at 1000 yards and have a video then talk shit till then GTFO!
@ryanperry90 If by 7.62 you mean 308 (like they do in video games), a 190 grain bullet would drop over 110 inches at 600 yards. A 175 match king is 80 to 90 inches on a good day. Not that I care I just stumbled across this and thought it was funny.
First off Remington doesn't make any rifle chambered in 7.62 NATO accept the m24 sniper rifle,. I am shooting a 5r milspec it has the same barrel(24in right hand twist 5 lands and groves) as the m24 but in 308. Muzzle velocity is 2650fps with 44.4 gr of Varget and a 175gr SMK. A 300 win mag at 500 yds with a 26 inch barrel and a 190 grain bullet is at 40 inches and at 600 is at over 70 inches. So there is no way a 7.62 any thing especially a 7.62x51NATO drops only 48 inches even with a 175.
@legoman05 No it is not. 308win and 7.62mm x 51 although close are not the same. The chambering reamers are slightly different. Same with 223 rem and the 5.56x45mm.

@headlicetonight Not to detract credit but you mean to say Marksman. A rifleman requires other skills not portrayed in this video.
