If you want to come out with us message me and we can set it up. We also now have a housing that can hold a camera for underwater shots and a slow motion camera for fast flying shots or fast insect movement. Once again let me know if your up for some location filming mate.
@GunMan303 That's really kind of you mate. I'd love to come out with you. Your camera's sound great! I will try and find time and let you know, I'm really chock-a-block at the mo. Let me know when you've filmed your parakeets, I'd be interested to see those. Thanks,
Grate video Ben as always mate, you have inspired my brother and I to start recording our own fishing videos and also we are thinking about doing a video on the Ring-necked Parakeet that over the past 20 years has invaded Britain.
ahh this makes me want to go fishing, i have a rod but i haven't been fishing in ages...
i want to do fishing like what your doing here, i don't really like these fisheries very much at all. I just feel sorry for those poor fish getting caught over and over again :/
@corpsemunger Yer, the smaller fisheries can be a problem, but many are still very well run and act as good spots for other wildlife too, so I don't have much of a problem with them...there are however some unscrupulous ones... I agree with you though, I much prefer to just wander around wild places and see what takes the bait. Thanks for watching.
@benwaddams oh i didnt really consider that, i guess im generalising too much...
can i just ask a really quick question about fishing,
if i were to go fishing in a stream like the one you were in this video what rig would you put on the line. I can never find that sort of thing online, maybe im looking in the wrong places :/
@corpsemunger KInda depends on what species you're after! For that Grayling (and for the brown trout and chub I catch there) I simply used a small mepps spinner and nothing else, although I'd recommend a swivel. Another good tactic for streams and small rivers is, what i call, a freelining avon approach. A chunky river float with a hook a couple of feet below and a big juicy worm, or bread paste. Hope that helps,
Hey Ben. Since last time I contacted you, we've found a surprisingly large population of Viviparous Lizards here locally. Still no Adders though. We even had two lizards given up to our house as of late since people around here kindof decide to send me reptiles they've found since I tend to breed exotics. We released two rather young Viviparous's into one of our rockeries, since we have more cover in our garden and insects. Sadly, one of them had lost its tail. : ( I'm very glad to see them tho.
@tw1stedgrudge That's great mate, thanks for keeping me updated. I'm gona do a proper vid on vip lizards in the next week or so. Keep the updates coming and the good work,
