@boxchamp4114 Being a racist isnt funny. Its tragic really. a very emotional clip its very sad to see our people n country suffering like this not much can bring tears to my eyes but seeing such things like this can hope more is done in the future to prevent such things even if it means moving most people in the flood areas further inland permanently as warning systems are good n better then ever but people still lose everything n do not ever get back what they lost...

@ju4np3dro Toowoomba is in Queensland, Australia, it is approx 2 hrs drive west of Brisbane the capital. Known for its beautiful gardens it sits atop a mountain range.
@giantsfan562001 Started raining beg of December, this happened second week of January. North and central Queensland had major flooding in December, then rain depression made its way down to south Queensland, this never before flood swept through Toowoomba and took lives with it, then later that day it washed down the mountain and devestated the plains/valley below and took many more lives, then went on to flood Ipswich and Brisbane. We are still yet to see a string of consecutive fine days.
@MINHOKERO Not too long ago, where I live, (Arkansas) birds just fell out of the sky, dead. I Still don't know why thousand's of bird's died, but I will always remember it. There were over one hundred thousand fish that died too. What is going on? I honestly think that we are living in the end times as the bible speaks about. That's just my opinion, I know everyone has their own. It's just surrel. There are over 4 million people being affected by this flood including me. God Help us all.
well i lived in Toowoomba all my live and never seen thin like it b4 i live over wilsonton area i got flooded it was a mild flood carpets got wet it was hard braking 4 me
Watching this makes me think that we aussies take alot for granted...
we have everything and more, more than others around the world.
What im getting at is, dont take friends , family, your neighbour for granted, be true to youself and to others. Alot of people really came together and helped each other out in desperate times like this, so keep it up now, even when there is no tradgedy. Who cares about material stuff, look out for one another i say...
Planet Earth's never ending cycles have punctuated history since the beginning. The only variable is man's ever increasing habitation of the geography involved in the cycles. Historic droughts, followed by floods, will inevitably return in countless more cycles. Nature is never mastered, only dealt with as well as possible. Faith is the only way to accept the inevitable.. deal with it and move on. Life is unpredictable... The alternative is not...
My heart goes out to the ones who lost their life. Many condolences to their families that lost their loved ones. Great job on the video. I know a friend that lives in this city in Australia and she told me to watch the vid. By the way what song is played during this vid. I would greatly appreciate if you sent me the title of the song. Thank you.
@osmithk Starting to look like the US aye atleast we are starting to clean our streets, whats happening with the streets over there thats a pure disgrace...
Damn, I live in Toowoomba and study @ USQ, but am currently vacationing abroad. I wish I was there so help my fellow queenslanders clean up or do whatever I can instead of feeling useless every time I see all of these videos of Toowoomba :(
Kiera, you did an amazing job! @KylieAus87 you're right! It is pretty good to show it to the world. I'm from Germany and heared much about the flood but I've never seen pictures like that on the News. It's terribel what happened and still happens down to you! I wish you and all the other people in Queensland all the best! Stay strong, this will be a pretty hard time now but I know if you all stick togheter you can create a new place to live! SO MUCH LOVE, LUCK AND ENERGY from Germany!!
Jordan Rice, age 13, was in that car at the picture at 1:07 and him and his mother both drowned. He was terrified of water but he sacrificed his life to save his little brother. That breaks my heart :( R.I.P Hero.
i have lived in toowoomba at diffrent times of my life and this video made me cry,to think about what people went through and will go through for the rest of their lives.I could not even begin to imagine how "dazed" people are feeling right now. This would have to be one of the worst disasters for toowoomba people.RIP to all the people lost in the floods and "wall of water" and to all the families my heart goes out to you all.
@tayja08 Could someone tell me why all of this flooding is going on? I live in Arkansas, and we are having a lot of flooding. Memphis, is really bad. My heart goes out to them. It makes me more sensitive to the victims, since it's happening to my family, friends, and neighbors.I hope that you don't think this is a stupid question. I'm scared. What's going to happen to us?What's going to happen to all the other 4 million people that are being affected by this flood? It's the worse I've ever seen.
@tayja08 This is heart breaking. My heart goes out to them. I'm so afraid of what is coming our way. We live by the Cash River in Arkansas, water is flooding our homes, and continues to rise.
Rest In Peace too all the fallen in the battle to survive, mother nature is showing the world her power. We better respect that. Great job making this video, it is special.
This is sad. What an unfortunate event to start the new year with. May God be with you all, those who are affected, those who are dead, those who are missing. May God be with you all. We pray for the best and hope that all is well.
that bridge with the big hole in it its just down the road from my house i run across it everday its just so hard to belive what has happened :( i got stuck in the middle of the water when it hit withcot was the most horrieble thing ive ever experienced :(
@mototash do you know how high up jellicoe st the water went as i use to live in the house 2 doors up from the vacant building that is at the bridge and the house back's onto the creek
@77PrincessD went for a walk down there today and there is heaps of stuff stuck up under the vacant building it looks like the water was up pretty close to the back of some of the houses there but didnt flood them. would have been scary for the people living in there. there was a huge tank or silo stuck under the bridge on the other side its no wonder the hole was smashed in the bridge. the creek bed has trippled in size its crazy!
I don't know what else to say other than I am sorry for what you are all going through. Also, I'd like to say what many other people are saying; and I want to add my 2 cents.. Rest in Peace to the lives that were lost.
Stay strong.
You're in my thoughts, all of you, all the way from the U.S.
My niece who is 14, Kiera, made this video. Although she thinks its "nothing special" i thought it would be good for everyone to see. Pretty amazing amounts of water, and i think she did a wonderful job on the video.
@KylieAus87 Kiera did a good job and pretty quickly. Some of the pictures were good reminders, that once the floodwaters have receded the pain isn't gone. There are big jobs ahead and continuing pain. Millions of people wish you all the best and wish we could be there to help.
And now we're reading about serious floods in Brazil.
Our earthquakes here in California don't seem so bad (for now).
sad so sad i am up in the rockhampton area i have many friends that have to drive 2 hrs to try and get food and i mean the basics but we are australians and we unite in the time of need we will get back up on the horse
I live in Rangeville (East Toowoomba). I had no idea this was happening. Our yard flooded and I had to dig trenches to divert from the house, but I never imagined that anything like this could have happened. I left work at the Library right in the middle of it 3 hours beforehand. It's a sobering thought to know that so much can change so quickly. My heart and prayers go out to the families of all who lost someone or is otherwise struggling to piece their lives together. May God be with you all.

Nice tribute. Really feel for everyone up there at the moment. Have many friends up there, fortunately they were well away from the worst of it.
