Im sorry but this is wrong in all points of view. Either do a pop dance or do a REAL tahitian number. Don't blend in your modern day booty dances to something as sacred as an ori. People from Tahiti would slap you silly.
@manatau801: i could just be bias since i'm a fan but i thought it was pretty cool! totally out of the box and innovative! of course it's not traditional, nor is it a "tahitian dance competition" but for someone who's in the arts, i thought it was pretty brave to push the pencil. you don't have to like it, but at least appreciative the creativity... lady gaga comes out with super crazy things but is considered a pioneer.

Actually, she was the Miss Hawaii 2009. She's not a professional Tahitian dancer but a professional and accomplished Hula dancer. I'm sure the producers of the show wanted her to do this number and had a choreographer make the routine. Also, I think it's pretty mean to say that she looks stupid because she doesn't.
