Hi Torley! Some people thinks soundtrack score isn't music, is just.. melodic sound. When i heared this i was a little disappointed because i think some soundtracks are even better and more emotional than actual musical tracks. What is your opinion about it? Do you think soundtrack scoring can be considered as "music" ? thanks for your great vids.
Torley on your main page, guy with a pink suit and a hat also with yellow socks, It's you? )) and also there is a duck )) .. WHY DUCK? (I guess I know answer on this question BUT .. )
Torley! love your personality and vids man lol always make me laugh (in a good way!) My question to you is, What is the quickest way to learn scales for the piano?
How come you mix videos about Second Life and music production in one channel? I know you like both, but should really think about keeping them separate, as they have no relation I think. Anyways, you are fun to watch, keep it up!
Hi Torley, love your vids, they are very useful.I would ask if you could show a little more of the EWQL libs, and the Evolve. Really want to dig further in to the mysteries of "trailer-music" ,classical symphony and celtic. I have been considering buying those packs for a long time. But I still want to be sure, and see how good the sounds/engine are in those packs, (especially the violins, staccato, and the brass, both stac. and sus(if you have some celtic sounds I would like so hear them too))
Set your project settings resolution tu 1280x720 or higher. After that export your movie in that resolution and make sure you put at least 4Mbit for the video compression stream.
Hi. On your video How to make your voice sound Goauld tutorial (watch?v=qv6lubSVX_Q) I have problem on 01:08. Then I click that button why I have sound like airplane is flying in my computer? Sorry if you don't understand, I putted video response to that video.
Where does your motivation come from? In the past, you've mention how you're able to manage so many different projects all at once, but how do you maintain the day to day personal energy and motivation to be tapped in and wired to so many different things at once?
I so admire the work you do on the SL videos and have been making some of my own. I am a real newbie at it my firs tonly about 2 months ago and i have read everything you've written about how you do yours. My issues are always with it appearing alittle choppy. I think I am getting a handle on it by reducing the screen size to keep the frame rate up. I think more than a question I just wanted to thank you for all your help
For someone who used to learn classical piano way back in the day, how would you recommend they pick up piano skills again (for more contemporary music styles) whilst dealing with being a time-starved adult!
Q3: You seem to be a person who's constantly running on adrenalin. Working on multiple stuff at a time. Can you ever *relax*/calm down? How/When/Where? (Besides by playing music, you seem to be relaxed there.)
This question had been influenced by a friend of mine, who mentioned something along the lines of: "Torley? Isn't he constantly vibrating? I'd probably tape him to a chair and force feed him valium." <- She wouldn't actually do that ^^ she's kewl and fun.
Q1: What did you wanted to become when you were a kid?
Q2: I know you like a variety of music. From more classical piano to electronic stuff. Also all this wave where I'll probably never share the affection for. Tho you also seem to listen to artists like Muse, Sigur Ros, Nine Inch Nails, Björk et. al.
Can you pick an artist or a group of artists which influenced or touched you the most? Not necessarily influenced your own music but influenced you as a person.
Torley, I read your Critical Publicity; what made you decide to write such a great piece of work? Having such a seemingly bubbly personality, it's hard to imagine but did you personally have a difficult time with critics (the close ones hurt the most) when you were younger?
I've got a PC, a decent Midi capable keyboard, been a brass player most of my life. I really can't invest much more money, but I want to see if I like making electronic music.
What impact or difference do you think current and future computing technology as well as interfaces will have or make on metaverses such as Second Life including such things as G-speak if or when it becomes commercially viable?
If you're unfamiliar with G-speak, a link is provided.
How much time do you spend a week: playing / practicing / composing?
When you are writing, do you always hear it in your head first, or do you let your fingers explore? Do you believe you are recreating your own inner music?
Your music videos are incredible and the way you freestyle on diffrent patches is just crazy. I really like how you did reviews on diffrent Vsti's,also the one with Wu Tang piano was also very nice . I would like to see more instructional videos [like the one on how to play on guitar patch on keyboard]
Can you give some info how to improvise on keys like you do , what training did you apply daily to play so smooth ?
What do you think about software piracy? I used to be a huge software pirate, but as I grow older I buy more and more now that I can afford it. But if it wasn't for software piracy, my 14 year old self would have never gotten to start making music with my computer, not to mention the huge effect the "scene" has had on computer music in general, specifically demoscene and chiptune music.
how can i learn how to play keyboard like you

Where do you start on a piece of music? Do you paint in any of the parts or do you paint in all the parts?
(I generally paint in a chord progression & a drumbeat & then play the rest & then revise as needed.)
