The government was very, very careful with handeling the Manhattan Project. When they threw out plans and notes in waste bins, they made sure that the janitors and waste handlers couldn't read. I lived in East TN for almost 6 years, I remember learning that during the war many east tn. high school girls were hired to work part time in the Oak Ridge facility and had little to no idea as to what exactly was going on there. Yes, you did get your facts wrong. First of all, jones doctored the pictures of the metal being picked up by the CAT. If that metal was as hot as he claimed than not only would the teeth melt but the hydrolics would boil and the hoses would burst. The picture of the workers shows a reflection of their lights. Plus, jones added some colour to it. The metal falling from the towers was aluminium which came from the siding as well as the plane. lolz is right.

NIST is not self defeating. Your questions make no sense. There is no reason to think that it is molten steel because the temps didn't get even close to hot enough to melt steel. And that metal has been found based on the shape made by it cooling while falling and it IS an aluminum alloy.

They also said that the steel lost 50% of its strength and had a new melting point of 1100F. Since they said the fires burned at 1800F, why didnt the steel pour out the South Tower just like the aluminum?

It was due to the steel heating up and losing much of it's strength without turning molten while it had, ostensibly, a chunk of concrete attached to the top of it.
