Way I see it crude politicians know about sleep and what to do. General staff has been provided and assets have been reviewed from the employees and who they asssign. The pilot of the near by jet said he did see a white cloud of smoke. He didnt see a white cloud of smoke that came from the ground, but was in the air. A true Gov't cover up. Maybe one day the Gov't will tell the American people the truth. It had to be shot down, all the other jets hit targets and this one would have as well.

Wright Patterson is souther Ohio, not far from where the last 9-11 jet was. The one that supposibly crashed into the ground and left no traces at all. This jet was in route and fired missiles at it and shot it down, shot down a commercial airliner. The debris field was a 7 miles radius, obvious for a mid air explosion. One missile crashed into rural Penn was then used as the site for the jet crash. You listen to the tower recordings Flight 93, at the very end some chick comes on...

I know EXACTLY what that plane's function is. I'm just wondering why can't we find out more about it or WHO was onboard? All I have ever heard from the government, is that it's mission is "classified". WHY? Was it airborne in response to the hits at the WTC? That wouldn't be classified - it would be in the country's best interest. The silence on that plane and those video tapes confiscated by the FBI from the hotels around the Pentagon have always troubled me.

OMG! This is so neat. I finally got some info. on these planes. I saw one fly over my house last year. It was so low, I could see there were no markings of any type anywhere on the plane. It left me with a real eerie feeling. I feel better knowing at least, what it is. At least I think.....

Towards the end of the recording the controllers refer to the plane as a 757, which could be something the 89th Airlift Wig flies.

I'm sure that this plane was needed in the air for vital communications and other emergency procedures could take place. Obviously nobody knew what was going to happen after the attacks and this is probably standard procedure when something of this scale happens.

It is a 747. When shit needs to happen in rapid sequence, minor details tend to fall by the wayside. I imaging things became a whole lot worse when every aircraft had to quickly find a place to land that day.

Pretty certain it is due to the urgency in the pilot and controller's voices. The departure controller answered the land line with "Tower, you got the kneecap to go?" Which would be the nickname for NEACP; the aircraft in question(an Air Force E-4).

Because of the mission that Andrews AFB has, this isnt abnormal as all military flights are given priority.

I have a minimal understanding of the aircraft's mission. It doesn't surprise me that it was launched, we were under attack. Another one was launched out of Wright-Patterson in support of Air Force One, shortly after the Pentagon was struck.

It appears that its purpose was to support Air Force One. After departing Andrews, it was headed directly south toward Florida until Air Force One turned west to Barksdale Air Force Base. Once Air Force One turned west, VENUS77 made a few orbits around the Richmond area and then headed to Offutt and later returned to Andrews approximately 30 minutes before President Bush.

why did this military command plane take off on a priority mission over washington at the exact time the pentagon was hit and then fly back to the airport within minutes of the attack? Also why is the government intent on hiding details on this? surely if there was a reasonable explanation the government would be quick to respond? Well, im a pilot myslef buddy, and 3020 is an altimeter setting. Thats all it is nothing about missiles here.You have to set altimeter settings when you first takeoff and periodicaly during flight. Hope that cleared it up a little.

I agree. It's not such a "mystery" anymore. It orbited the Richmond area until Air Force One was well on its way to Barksdale. Later in the evening, it returned to Andrews about a half an hour before Air Force One.
