This movie is very good. Willem Dafoe, Edward Furlong, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi, Tom Arnold, and Mickey Rourke. I believe they filmed it at real San Quentin. Steve Buscemi (Mr. Pink) directed the film, based on Eddie Bunker (real life ex-con from San Quentin; Mr. Blue in "Reservoir Dogs") novel. Totally hardcore. You never really doubt its authenticity.

one of the best prison movies i ever seen dafoe nd mickey rourke r amazing in this movie just wish we can see them more often on the big screen
